After everyone finished eating their meals, Elena cleared the table and left the room. Morgan and the men at the table began to talk about business. I listened in, taking note of some important information that was being discussed about Wright Corporation. ‘Does Morgan trust me that much?’ I asked in my mind as I stared at his side profile. And then something strange happened; the discussion had not lasted for even 30 minutes when Morgan stood up abruptly, making his chair screech on the floor and make a deafening sound.

Greg seemed to notice where I was staring and scanned the area without spotting anyone. “What's wrong, Ms. Elisabeth?” Greg asked, alarmed, positioning himself protectively in front of me. “He's here.” I murmured in shock, my voice trembling. “He's come for me!” With tears in my eyes, I looked at Greg, who activated his radio before turning to address the press. “The statement is concluded. Mr. Morgan will soon make a public address,” he announced, pulling me away. “Where is Mr. Morgan? Why hasn't he spoken yet?” the relentless reporters shouted.

“You’re telling me that after everything, spreadsheets and meetings are still more important than me?” I smirked. “I’m Seirra Morgan, CEO of Morgan Enterprises. If I don’t show up, the world will stop spinning.” He leaned in closer, his lips grazing the side of my face as he whispered, “Then let it stop.” The shiver that ran through me betrayed the smirk I tried to keep on my face. I rolled my eyes and scooted forward, pretending to fix the hem of my dress. “You’re ridiculous.” “And you love it,” he shot back, already grinning.

The unease was there, definitely. “Morgana,” I began, nodding politely toward the woman, “we didn’t realize you’d already had company.” I glanced at my watch. “Perhaps we came a bit too early.” “Oh, you’re right on time,” Morgana said quickly, brushing off my comment. Her eyes darted between Elijah and me before she gestured to the woman beside her. “Sophia, Elijah, this is Victoria Langston. She’s a highly regarded attorney and… well, a trusted advisor.”

She stayed silent for a long time. I sipped my whiskey and continued staring at her face. This woman seemed nothing like the one I married. She looked more confident. “I’m sure everything will be fine,” she sighed and looked away. “I’ll sign it tomorrow. Excuse me, I need to organize my things.” She stood up and walked toward the kitchen. I just watched her every move until my phone rang. Elena’s name lit up on the screen. I picked up the phone and stepped away to take the call, keeping a look of disinterest as Morgana disappeared into the kitchen.

Relived with the incoming distraction, I then grab my coat, packing my hair in a bun as I step out. Few minutes later.... As I step into the cafe, bustling with people going in and out. I then search around looking for Morgan's familiar face then I spot an unexpected face. With a definitely new look, her once long glorious blonde mane now cut short in a bob. Her phony smile and look now replaced with a cool and collected unreadable expression. As my eyes meet hers she inclines her head indicating I come sit. “Oh Crap” “I'm supposed to meet Morgan here not her”I muster quitely , as I debate whether to proceed or just run back to my cave. Eliza had a few tricks up her sleeve, but for some reason, none of her special talents seemed to be working, and she wasn't quite sure why. They were sitting in a briefing meeting, talking about a hunt they would be attending later that night, when Laney's message had come through. Now, despite the fact that the Guardian who would be leading the hunt that night, Morgan, was going over some fairly pertinent information, Eliza's mind was wandering. Aaron was sitting right next to her, too, which made it even harder to concentrate.

Celia was quite distracted and Kristen used this chance in pushing her away. She quickly left them and started leaping away. "Aiish!" Mrs. Morgan muttered and pushed Kristen down. Kristen was so weak. Her vision was blurry. She was shaking. Her mouth was bringing out blood. "Just like your mother, you are gonna die stupidly.
