To her surprise the gentle rocking of the cage as it was moved to wherever he was taking her soon lulled her into sleep, she closed her mind to whatever ordeal was to come, she needed to conserve her energy to fight back. Loki made his way through the never-ending dank, slimy corridors heading deeper and deeper into the bowels of the earth, they wound their way ponderously toward the Realm of the Underworld. He did not stop to explore any of the huge cavernous chambers that occasionally opened up on either side of him but he heard the noises. He heard the sounds of whips connecting with flesh, the sticky slapping of bodies coming together and the grunts of pleasure or pain from the recipient

My eyes began getting heavy as I sat in the chair, so I decided to look at the titles in the bookshelf. They all looked like history books, until I came across a title I knew very well, “The Divine Comedy,” I spoke aloud, trailing my finger down it’s spine. After taking the book from the shelf and sitting back in the chair my eyes drifted down to the set of characters in front of me. The pieces all looked like intricately carved, as my eyes roamed each piece.

Chapter 183 Max If hell was a day it would have been what happened yesterday. There are different stages of hell, and it doesn't matter what stage of hell you are in or going through , the levels come with a different challenges . All good things come on threes and so do all bad things too . Hell ; purgatory and Paradise. I didn't study Dante at school but I'm pretty sure inferno doesn't last forever , the space inbetween purgatory and Paradise is always a working progress.

Dante whirled, stunned for a split second. Matteo hurled a spare pistol my way and I caught it mid-air. Fury exploded through me as I rolled to cover and fired back at Dante rapidly. The shots thundered, bullets ripping into Dante’s chest and arm, he staggered backward toward the edge. He clutched his wounds, shock freezing his face. “Ci vediamo all'inferno, bastardo,” I growled as I fired the final shot that propelled him over the cliff. See you in hell, bastard.

He clenched his fist and stepped a little closer towards the boulder, his booted feet making a depression on the black sand. The Encyclopedia of Demons or popularly known as the Dictionnaire Infernal is the book Marcus had found in the Vatican Archives that talked about the demon with blue and violet flames. It may not have given a fitting picture of what the hellish entity looked like, but it was able to provide enough information for him to use.

"A friend should always underestimate your virtues, and an enemy overestimates your faults"- Mario Puzo Chapter 88 DANTE POV I was going to the seventh hell. Not the first one or the second one, but the innermost, hottest level of hell because I deserved it... All my life, I have been committing millions of sins, but none greater than this one. And on Sunday nonetheless.

The stench is enough to make a grown man’s stomach turn but, miraculously, the automatic doors shut and cut it all off. I’m painfully confirming that Hell is indeed patterned after Greek mythology, and Dante. It’s divided into nine concentric circles, nine underground layers, the next more vicious than the one above it and continuing down to the burning core of the planet itself, where judgment is meted out on the devil himself, Lucifer. Every sinner receives punishment equal to the chief sin they have committed, in an ever grislier dose of poetic justice.

It was like a spark had been lit within her, and she couldn't help but let it burn. The heat intensified, becoming almost unbearable, a weightless feeling that left her floating somewhere between reality and a dream. As her hands wandered, her senses heightened. Every inch of skin felt like it was on fire, every breath drawn in was suffused with a heady scent that she couldn't quite place. It was as if all her senses were working overtime, but she didn't want it to stop. She wanted to savor it, to soak it all in.

So I decided to try again. "Luca, what's with the dragon and flames on your back?" I asked, and he laughed. He rinsed his mouth and spat out the water and then stood straight to flex his muscles so I could get the full view. Instead of looking at the tattoo, my eyes were fixed on his tight, sexy, manly butt. My mind was in the gutters. "The dragon breathes fire. It can never burn him. Hell is fire, and I am the dragon that rules it," he said, and I understood.

This wasn't the Dante Salvatore who ruled through fear and cold precision. "Is this redemption from the Lord?" I continued, almost to myself now. "Was the nun that pure that her presence drove the demons that worry me away?" Silence. I picked up the glass again, swirling the whiskey. Watching it catch the light. "Il diavolo non merita redenzione, " I murmured. "Ma forse... forse il diavolo ha bisogno di un angelo per ricordargli cosa ha perso." The devil doesn't deserve redemption. But perhaps... perhaps the devil needs an angel to remind him what he's lost.
