Loved in the Shadow

Loved in the Shadow

The tiny flame trembled between her fingers. "I turned on the gas before you got here," she whispered, almost giddy. "So, Mallory... how about you stay my punching bag in the next life, too?" Her smile widened, and I felt my head droop. The room started to blur. Suddenly, flames erupted before my eyes. I smashed the coffee cup against the floor and grabbed a broken shard, dragging it across my thigh hard enough for the pain to cut through the fog. I was bleeding badly, but I still managed to shove Irene away and limp toward the door.

she asked. "Not this lifetime or next," I said firmly. "You’re mine. Look at me, say it, Emily. Say you’re mine." "Yours," she whispered. Then she lifted her head. "And Shadow can come." I laughed, finally like I never had in a while. "Of course. Is he your familiar?" I asked. Shadow, the sleek silver snake who seemed always to appear when Emily needed him most, was more than just a pet—he was her magical familiar, a spirit creature bound to her. He protected her, sensing her emotions and keeping her company through everything.

Fate Entwined in a Shadow

Fate Entwined in a Shadow

His grandfather wanted something real and lasting. Suddenly, Bryan started sweating. The cold room no longer cooled him down. He was terrified, not only would he disappoint his grandfather, but the old man might end up back in the hospital from the stress that night. “Sir, it’s time!” A soft knock on the door brought Bryan back to reality. He took a deep breath and went to the hall where the event was happening. The small hall was already full. Important men from the city were seated, along with the Choi group and their wives.

SHADOW HEIRS

SHADOW HEIRS

Her eyes glowed faint silver for a second. “Touch me again,” she whispered, voice layered with something dangerous, “and I’ll let my babies eat your hearts.” They scrambled away, sobbing. Aria stood in the alley, breathing hard, hands trembling. She looked down at her belly. “Mommy’s learning,” she murmured. “We’re going to be okay.” But that night, as she lay in bed tracing the stretch marks forming on her skin, a new scent drifted through the cracked window, faint, wolf, familiar. Shadowthorn. Someone was looking for her.

Crowned In Shadow

Crowned In Shadow

“I know.” “You can tell me to stop.” Jamie looked at him. Really looked. The scar. The control. The restraint that felt like it was holding something dangerous in check. “I don’t want you to stop,” Jamie said, then winced. “I mean….” Adrian didn’t smile. He didn’t gloat. He just nodded, like that answer fit into something he’d already decided. “Good,” he said. Behind them, unseen but aware, La Corona Nera watched. And after midnight, Bar Della Luna closed its doors, keeping its secrets, for now.

“Half wolf, half bear, and all Shadow. “Babaloo, is your brother a Shadow?” Shadow asked. “Duh? Of course, he is. Why do you think he’s such an excellent assassin?” He said with pride for his big brother. “Well, shit! I had no idea he was a Shadow.” Shadow frowned. “Not to worry as you spend time and train with more Shadow’s you’ll be able to ID them.” Mimi shrugged. “So, Shadow should we go ahead and have our people start making their way here?” Dakota asked.

In Her Shadow

In Her Shadow

Now, both of us are without fingerprints! The lecturer's brow creased as he looked from me to Jennifer and back again. My parents reached out, pleading with the tutor, saying, "As parents, how could we not recognize our own child? "The one sitting over there is an imposter. That's Jennifer. The real Ella is right here with us." The lecturer's expression shifted subtly. My classmates started nodding. "If even her parents say so, then the girl who's in class with us has to be the fake."

I thought A beautiful lady in her late thirty got up when the elevator door opened to the sitting room and bowed slightly "Welcome sir" she said to me. She thought I was Jason but when Jason stepped out of the elevator her mouth dropped. She looked at Jason and did a double take and then looked back at me "Em...em" she stammered

Alpha's Regret: Chasing His Pregnant Luna

Alpha's Regret: Chasing His Pregnant Luna

How did this Shadow know? “What are you talking about?” I pressed, trying to keep the tremor out of my voice. Shadow’s response was maddeningly enigmatic. “Your choices ripple across the pack. Across lands. Be cautious… or not. It is in my nature to offer protection to those destined for more.” “Protection?” I repeated, scowling at the vague answer. “From what?” But the mind-link softened until it became nothing more than an echo, leaving behind only questions. Who… or what… was Shadow?

Fated to My Mate's Twin

Fated to My Mate's Twin

I had expected them to be grave about this matter but smiling at me Cain said, “I had already been a step ahead and thought about it. I had therefore asked Elder Morris about it and he said that a shadow of a person is almost as if it is its part, Ephialtes can therefore never hide in it. It would almost be as if he was forcing into a part of our body but he cannot without a person giving him permission to and therefore we would be safe from that.” “If he could actually be able to get into our shadows then we would never be alone, just imagine how it would have felt not knowing if you are alone or not?” Devin said looking at each of our shadows that were dark paths on clean ground. Really loved that. It's new to me, I am not a big fan of Werewolves tho. But enjoying it so far. I hope Crain will take Asa's revenge from Clay. That was so heart breaking when she misunderstood him. Well done!

The writing is very captivating. The characters are believable and I cared about them. I sincerely don't want asa to land with clay. She deserves better!! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes werewolf romance. It's so worth the read!
