MOONBOUND SECRETS

MOONBOUND SECRETS

“We need to warn them. The crow—” A shadow passes overhead. The crow circles, one eye violet, the other gold. *“It’s not over,”* the Shadow whispers in my mind. *“It’s never over,”* I reply. ---

Living With My Lady Boss

Living With My Lady Boss

The guy was most likely an Emperor level, just like their chairman. That was terrifying. Sam drew a deep breath as Wilbur got closer. "Please spare us, sir! We admit defeat! Our chairman is an Emperor level elite. Let us go, and you will be a friend of the Shadow Group forever." To befriend the Shadow Group was a dream of countless cultivators. The Shadow Group had access and control over so many mysterious things, and they were powerful enough to do just about anything. This was an offer no cultivator could resist, even if they were an Emperor level elite.

In the Shadow of the CEO

In the Shadow of the CEO

"I'll be out in a moment, Jia." "Yes, sir," she said automatically, but she turned to look over her shoulder when she heard his voice filtering from a distance. Where had he gone? He had been behind her just a second ago. She craned her neck, however, and saw that he had disappeared into his bedroom. The door remained open, and there was a soft light glowing inside that cast Atlas's moving shadow out into the hallway. Her eyes widened when she eventually recognized the particular movements of the shadow: shifting arms, and then a shirt being peeled off. She ripped her gaze away before she could invade Atlas's privacy any further, horrified that she had just caught herself ogling her boss's s

Loved this story of 2 people who showed real growth, evolving in a v. positive way bc of their emotional connection, determination to persevere under v. trying circumstanc. Yr treatment of anxiety & depression, particularly involving women was handled beautifully & with great clarity & sensitivity.

HER SHADOWED PAST

HER SHADOWED PAST

She only thought about herself and what's good on her, She was more of the materialistic and egoist damsel, While Jacklyn was more the selfless, caring and humble damsel. The Architect of the Shadows

The Architect of the Shadows

There was only the sudden, heavy realization that the body was a vessel, and the vessel was leaking. Purity: A blade required no battery, no signal, and no permit. It was a tool of the wilderness brought into the heart of the "civilized" cage. Silas reached for a smaller, surgical-grade scalpel. This was for the precision work—the "Shadow" work. He thought of Stacy, the youngest. She was the most innocent of the brood, perhaps, but she was still part of the infection. She was the future of the fraud, the next generation being groomed to believe that the world was a garden meant for her amusement.

Shadows of the Past

Shadows of the Past

Emily There were many aspects of my family history that always raised questions for me. As these came to light, it seemed that a dark shadow was re-emerging to dim the brightness of the future. It was a presence of the past that instilled panic in me and wanted to cast a shadow over the days ahead. All the information came piling in, and I felt like a defenseless baby. What was my fault that my mother didn’t keep her home and ran after another man? And what did I have to do with her misunderstandings with “Dad”?

Possessing her Shadows

But as I walked away visibly emotionless, I couldn’t shake the image of the woman in the scarf, sitting in the shadows, watching me like she already knew me. And I had no idea that she was about to change everything.

The Shadow from His Past

The Shadow from His Past

Chandler's legs gave way, and he sank to the floor. He stared blankly at the blood-covered flesh on his hand, murmuring, “It’s really her, it’s really her… “How could this happen?” He asked as he gazed at Ben, his eyes bloodshot, panic and anger surging within him. With a wave of his arm, he sent everything nearby crashing to the ground. Then, he seized Ben’s collar. “Bring me all the data on A167!” His voice trembled as he sank into despair. “Wasn’t it said that the special drug was supposed to be effective?”

SOLD AS THE ALPHA KING'S PET

SOLD AS THE ALPHA KING'S PET

I shouted. I pulled her back just as the shadow touched the ground where she had been standing. The earth there turned dark. Like something had drained the life from it. The grass wilted instantly. Chris swore under his breath. “That’s not normal.” “No,” I said. “It’s not.” The shadow pulled back slightly, like it was adjusting. Learning. That scared me. Because it meant this thing wasn’t just reacting. It was thinking. Emily’s grip on my arm tightened. “It knows I’m here,” she whispered.

The Shadows of Haverstone Manor

The Shadows of Haverstone Manor

“We can’t do anything without these things showing up.” Jamie swung his skateboard into his hands, his movements tense. “How many times do we have to teach this lesson?” “These aren’t the same as before,” Callan said, their glowing presence intensifying. “They’re stronger—manifestations tied directly to the spire’s corruption. Be careful.” The first shadow lunged toward Emma, its clawed hand reaching for the relic. Callan intercepted it with a burst of light, scattering the dark form into wisps of smoke. But the other shadows advanced quickly, their movements unnaturally fast and precise.
