The Captured Mafia Bride

The Captured Mafia Bride

“Brat, tainting such perfect skin.” I held my head up in defiance, not willing to explain anything to her. She could think I was a vagabond for all I care. When we got to the second floor Lois dragged me to the last room. Above it, room 60 was written in bold red paint. She opened the padlock and then the door, punching me into the small cramped room.

Ex-Wife Returns: Billionaire's Second Chance

Ex-Wife Returns: Billionaire's Second Chance

At this time, the club downstairs was already packed with people because a child was floating in the air on the 12th floor. “Where is room 1202, sir? Why is there no one in this row?" Nina grabbed the guard's arm and cried in fear. "Our shop is designed in a circle. If you want to go to room 1202, you have to go to the opposite staircase." The guard's words seemed to push Nina into hell. Looking back at her mobile phone, she timed the message arrived, two minutes had passed; in other words, she only had three minutes left. "Lucas, Lucas." Tears poured out like a broken dam, almost blurring her eyes.

From Ashes To The Billionaire's Arms

From Ashes To The Billionaire's Arms

I said, “and tried to remember which room number was in the text message. I remembered it was 302… or maybe 320. I wasn’t sure. So, I decided to check both.” Leonard handed the judge another file. “Footage from that day,” he said. It played on the screen, showing a man entering Room 302. He looked dangerous, his face hard, his movements tense. The date and time matched the previous footage. “I saw that man going into Room 302,” I said, my voice quieter now. “And I was scared. So I thought it must have been Room 320.”

Take Me Back: The Alpha's Regret

Take Me Back: The Alpha's Regret

Fuck Alpha Vladimir for making me feel this way! I stopped my track when I reached the last room in the hall. Room 616, it said. Although my muscles were a bit stiff, I gathered all my courage to carry myself into making knocks on the door. I turned the knob and noticed that it was unlocked. And so, I strode inside.

Melissa Holtzmann
Pretty good book with MANY ups and downs and new plot twists. Some loose ends never tied up, and a ton of incorrect pronoun usage in sentences or using the wrong character name that can make it hard to follow. Definitely want to see an epilogue to maybe close the loop on some side stories.

I loved the ending, but it was a bit rushed. I was hoping for some extra chapters, a bonus, or an epilogue. Is there going to be a book 2? I don't want to give anything away. But the ending seems incomplete. We need more, please!!!

Omega's Curse: Desired by the beast who shouldn't want me

Omega's Curse: Desired by the beast who shouldn't want me

I didn’t want to draw attention. “Hey!” Rapheal’s voice echoed behind me as I hurried down the hall, keys jingling in my trembling hands. I scanned the corridor, searching for Room 202. My heart pounded harder with every step. I threw quick glances behind me to see if he was near. Finally, I gasped when I saw Room 202 engraved on the door to my left. I slipped inside, clutching my heaving chest. “At last,” I muttered under my breath, scanning the room.

kind of shape. “The middle part is detached from the frame of the U, that’s the wing your mother is in. If you take a left turn, you’ll see room 021, it’s the second room from that end. Siena’s in there.” God, she was confusing. This was such a bad idea. The hallway was mostly quiet, and there was no staff in sight. They were all at their stations. I made my way to the corner leading to entrance of her room. I suddenly developed cold feet, but I wasn’t about to announce it over the phone.

PATIENT ZERO -The lone survivor

PATIENT ZERO -The lone survivor

"Observing what? We're a mile underground." "I don't know," Eliana said. "But Professor Manji never mentioned a facility here. The official records state that 'Six' was founded in 2017, a year after the Starfall, to study the evolutionary anomalies. This bunker... the architecture, the hardware... it looks much older than that." At the end of the hall, the corridor opened up into a spacious, circular hub. Several doors branched off from the center. One caught Baraka’s immediate attention. The sign above it read: INFIRMARY & SUPPLY.

His Enigma

His Enigma

I say, trying to get my feet or hands to move. The elevator doors opened to my penthouse. Killian jumps up and scoops me up. How embarrassing. “Where are we going?” Killian asks. “My room, to the, left down the hall last door,” I answer. “Well, normally pet I like my women to move with me.” He says, looking down at me smiling and winking. “Markus, hang out watch the door.” “Yep,” Markus replied. He entered my room and placed me on my king-sized bed. This was absolutely humiliating.

THE OTHER ME WANT MY MAN

THE OTHER ME WANT MY MAN

And that can only mean one thing. The other me is here. This is what Truth wanted me to know. I keep my expression blank, my mind racing. "Can you remind me of the room I booked?" I asked. Nina tilts her head, confused. Then she smiles. "Are you kidding? It’s boldly written on the keycard I gave you." "I know," I reply sharply. "Just tell me." Her smile fades. "Room 666." Of course. I nod and turn toward the elevator. As I step in, I tighten my grip on my gun. I know what is waiting for me upstairs. Someone is playing games with me. Perhaps Gideon, perhaps someone worse. Either way, they will die tonight.

Frequently Asked Questions

I actually just finished this one last week, and the central mystery sort of twisted in a way I didn't fully expect. The setup is classic: a dead body in a luxury hotel room, a writer protagonist who gets drawn into investigating it years later. The initial drive is figuring out who killed the victim in Room 622 and why, but that's just the surface layer.

Where it gets interesting, for me, was how it becomes a puzzle about identity and manipulation. The investigation keeps circling back to this mysterious banking competition that happened around the same time as the murder. The 'enigma' isn't just the whodunit; it's more about untangling a whole web of disguised motives and swapped roles among the guests. I spent the last third of the book questioning whether any of the characters were who they claimed to be at the start.

The final revelation about the competition's true purpose felt a bit contrived, but the journey there had this nice, paranoid energy. You're never quite sure if the narrator himself is being played.
