The Escape Room Book Novels & Stories

I replied feeling excited about doing something different. We headed in the direction of the escape room. Leo had already made the booking. We went through the orientation and entered our chosen room for the game to start. There were so many mysteries we had to solve. We put our minds together and after what seems to be forever, we finally solved the mystery and got out of the room. "Yeah," I happily screamed when we exited the room. "That was fun," Vera said giggling. "I agree, it was amazing," Leo added his voice also laughing.

,Anshu pipes in,"Let's not keep loverboy waiting." I mumble to myself about bullying best friends, squealing when they both start to bump my shoulders as we walk in a zig zag fashion, laughing. We decided to go to 'The Escape Room'. I'm excited as we enter the room after instructions,all of our Detective modes on as we look around for clues to escape out of the room in sixty minutes. I drifted back to the library, telling myself I was only putting one book away. Sunlight poured over the long table. The room smelled like leather and dust. My fingers slid along the glass case and caught on a shallow groove in the carved wood. I pressed. A hidden panel clicked and a thin drawer eased open. Inside lay a narrow roll of parchment tied with faded blue cloth.

I look passed him to the shelves, but I don’t see them. Suddenly, Grace comes running out of the bookshelves, her phone in her hand and eyes wide, Issac right behind her. “Dean, Gunner. Good.” She breathes as she walks closer to us. “He escaped.” She tells us and I’m immediately on guard.

I climb and jump to get books off of shelves and Aidan has to catch me a couple of times when I fell. We eventually sit at one of the nooks in the grande room. It's small and cozy with 2 big chairs and a large desk between them. We spread books out on the desk and floor around us. "Anything catch your eye?" I ask him as he stares down at the collection. He looks up at me bewildered. "How do you choose? How do you know which ones will make you escape, make you feel?" He asks with something in his voice I can't quite identify.
