A silly little game, that is all it was supposed to be but it turned to so much more. It was four years ago and I was fourteen. It was my brother's going away party. At sixteen male werewolves go to academy to serve in the military and prepare for their adult roles in the pack. My brother Bo and his best friend Drake were leaving the next day. The adults had already called it a night and the teenagers had somehow ended up in the basement playing truth or dare, typical dumb kid stuff. It was massive. "Seraph, Maxim, and I are going to play a little game of cat and mouse," Esper started. "I will get a 15-second head start, and the first one to catch me wins. We will start on the center tower." Esper started walking, the two contenders following behind her as the rest of the group went up an elevator to the audience seating. The center tower was a concrete structure about three stories high, a fire escape spiraling up to the top. The trio climbed their way to the top of the form and began stretching to loosen up their muscles. Esper shook out her arms, bouncing lightly from toe to toe.

The rest of the time, most members would engage in self-training to improve their weaknesses. Those with poor marksmanship headed to the shooting range. Those who weren’t skilled in hand-to-hand combat would find others for sparring.

"Some Espers are fighting each other right now. You should go help," Minseok told me bluntly, still looking sternly at me. "Help?" I repeated it in shock. Jake asks. "Sure, buddy." I take my card back from the bartender as my companion begins. "I heard that Mrs. Everest left the house...The drivers were gossiping. Did something happen?" The mention of Harley alerts my senses and I slowly turn to face Jake. He has an innocent look on, half calm, half anticipatory. He kinda looks funny. Every few seconds, his head splits into two parts before my eyes and it makes me chuckle. Jake with two heads looks way more stupid than David with three.

Then Natalie arrived, and she was taking up the rapping verse before finally ending with a chorus.

Finally, they arrived at their floor and the doors opened. They walked the short corridor to their respective doors. Vespera had reached her door but then she stopped and turned. Ezekiel had his key card out but noticing that the figure wasn't moving, he looked at her. "Is everything alright?" were his first words to her for the evening. Vespera smiled and walked back to meet him. "Yes, everything is alright. There is an industry event happening on Friday." She informed him. "The Vine Entertainment showcase. I have two seats."
