Irina leaned over the edge, watching as Camille plunged four feet down to her death. Her lips moved, saying some inaudible words before turning her heels, possibly wanting to really confirm if Camille had truly died from the fall. Taking advantage of the few minutes, i stepped out of the shadows, holding on to the umbrella as i walked briskly towards Camille's now limped body. The rain poured down heavily at this time, deafening all sounds. And yet, i could still hear Camille's loud, painful groans as she struggled helplessly to live.

Hesitantly Jasmine withdrew from his embrace to find her clothes to put on to greet Xavier while Gabriel did the same. “You know my mind is made up, Jasmine. I’m not leaving here. I’m not going back. My choice. The Almighty has given me that choice and I won’t live my Angelic immortality with regret.” He said his peace as he placed on his pants easily to go open the door for Xavier, shirtless as always.

It felt eternal. The sun dipped low, casting long shadows across the campus. They walked hand in hand, hearts lighter, spirits soaring. Their journey hadn’t been easy, but it had been theirs. “Now you’ve fallen—you’ve lost everything you were meant to be—just because of me!” He pulled back just enough to look me in the eyes, his gaze full of love and quiet certainty. “Haven’t I fallen hard enough? Long before I lost my wings… I had already fallen completely for you. And that fall was far deeper, far more real, and far more permanent than anything else I could ever experience.”

His coat turned to ash, his face melted like wax, and his voice split into dozens of whispers and screams. His final words were filled not with anger but with desperation: “Then I will return…in his face. In Vincent’s face.” The figure crumbled into ashes. The field trembled and caved inwards. Camela fell to her knees, gasping for breath as the flowers faded away, turning the air into burning dust. Through her tears, she murmured, “I smiled, Father. But not for you.” The ashes engulfed her as she plunged through the collapsing field, with light breaking apart above her.

Camellia replied with a chuckle. Love can come and go just like that, love also can’t choose who to fall for, but it would be funny if Camellia fell in love again with a man who had hurt her heart and destroyed her life in such a way that she attempted suicide. It feels like Camellia’s logic can still think clearly, even though maybe no one’s heart can guarantee it.
