Kane screamed in his loudest voice and everyone left whatever they were doing. They were returning to the Pack but it was already too late. There were more than twenty hunters among them who had invaded the Pack. Kane had to run back to save those he could save Even when he knew it was dangerous. The Hunters shot most of them with the silver bullet mixed with wolfsbane. Those who were not shot were able to run inside and the whole Chambers was shot. Kane didn't follow the rest of them that were inside the Chambers. He was trying to speak with the Hunters to see if they would change their thoughts against them.

...Hunter POV... I felt like pulling out my hair. For what seemed like the twentieth time now, the Huntress, whoever she was, had managed to foil my plans. I didn't know who this Huntress was, but she was driving me insane. No matter what I did, she always seemed to be one step ahead of me. Earlier on, I sent my men out to capture another lead. We had been tailing him for a week and found an opportunity to grab him discreetly. He was a minister of the government and was known for taking handouts. Making him an easy target for Silvio.

I shoved a few people out of my way as I hurried toward the distant fight. As I turned the corner to where the fight was, I arrived just in time for the enchanted glasses to be knocked off Khalid’s face, the glamor fading away to reveal his true face as one of the vampires from Tulio’s nest punched him as two others held him in place. Well shit. Maybe he should have enchanted something that couldn’t be easily knocked off. I knew in an instant they recognized him as the wanted hunter.
