(Aurora's POV) The den door felt impossibly heavy as I pushed it open. My limbs ached with cold, my clothes still damp from trudging through the snowstorm. It was just past four in the afternoon, but the winter darkness made it feel like midnight. "Luna Blackwood, please let me help you," Eva Dawnrunner said, reaching for my snow-covered cloak. I shook my head. "I can manage." "You're chilled to the bone," she persisted. "Let me call the pack healer."

I’ve got to get out of here even if I die trying. (Thursday, March 28th; 1am) I take one last look around my room before I step out into the cold March air. I have layered the upper part of my body as much as possible as the numerous breaks to my wrists and ribs have made the cold air as cruel and unforgiving as my father. I have learned from my previous mistakes and pray to goddess Diana that I make it across the western border into the Red Moon pack’s territory.

“And you’ll get us all killed if you can’t keep pace.” The words stung like a blade because they were true. Pale light spilt over the trees, silver instead of gold, revealing everything sharp instead of soft. We stumbled into a hollow between rocks, shielded from the worst of the wind. Asher dropped first, sinking into the snow, his chest heaving. Kaia leaned against the stone, blade still in her hand, eyes never closing.

Ruby P.O.V. The eastern meadow of Silver Dawn isn’t much to look at by daylight, just bleached grass and an old stone that remembers winters. At the edge of evening, though, it starts to come to life. Freya’s people chalk out a geometry that doesn’t care about pretty things. Silver filings sift into furrows, braided with salt and ash. Oloron walks the lines with a satchel of crystals that knock softly together like patient bells and Tara’s shadows gather at the tree line in a quiet crowd, curious and ready.

It was a kiss that tasted of snow, copper, and the first true taste of freedom I had ever known in my twenty years of life. Behind us, Kaelen stood watch on the high ridge, his green eyes fixed on the northern peaks where the first pale, golden light of dawn was finally breaking through the heavy winter clouds, signaling the end of the longest night the Blackthorn pack had ever seen, and the beginning of a realm built on the stones of the broken cage.

Into the Depths Dawn’s first light crept through the forest canopy as Aria, Caden, and Elara set out from the watchtower, Rollan nestled securely in Aria’s arms. The air was sharp with the scent of pine and damp earth, but an undercurrent of unease lingered. They moved swiftly and silently, their footsteps muffled by the thick layer of fallen leaves. Caden led the way, his eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of Darius’s loyalists, while Elara followed close behind, her cloaked form blending into the gloom.

Tonight, the light snow obscured her view, so she contented herself by gazing out through the frosted glass window which opened to a private view of the city skyline. Outside, the first light of dawn was beginning to creep in. Leaning against the Irishman who had settled her between his strong thighs, she sighed as he began to stroke her cl*t, his fingers slipping into her sex... A snowy dawn was unfolding in silence. It was a world hushed under a thick, white stillness. The sky was a pale wash of silver and rose, where the first light of morning seeped through gauzy clouds. Every branch, every rooftop, every fencepost wore a soft crown of snow, edges blurred, outlines tender.

Speaking of that, Dawn suddenly think about the winter, her most hated season. When winter, -it will approach the place three weeks from now, the whole Canagan would be covered by the snow. No one would be out, instead you want freeze yourself to death. The fireplace will be overuse, also jackets. She looked up and saw the dancing leaves of the oak tree together with the skies in the air rhythm. It was so relaxing, that Dawn close her eyes and inhaled the fresh air, yet her whole being isn’t relaxed. Her guilt is eating her. She made her fist in a ball as she felt someone’s presence. Slowly, she turned her head into James who was taken aback in her sudden move. Well, it isn’t sudden at all,

“How do you plan on doing that?” Dawn sips the coffee and stands up to walk towards the small aquarium, her movements graceful but deliberate. After staring at the fishes which are caged like Spring soon will be, She crosses the room to the large windows, staring out over the gardens. The scent of Roses and seasonal flowers floats in the air, but all she can think about is the stench of revenge. “She’s an addict, and addicts are predictable. She’s hiding her addiction and substance abuse from her colleagues, but it’s only a matter of time before she slips. I’ll make sure that time comes sooner rather than later.”

Damian’s POV Dawn, when it finally came, was the kind that crept—not the dramatic sluice of gold you see in paintings, but the shy, reluctant light of winter. A nearly imperceptible shift: shadows thinning over hardwood, pale blue leaking across the city’s spires, as if the world, too, tiptoed for fear of disturbing her.
