He Came Back Running

He Came Back Running

C Olivewhen i left him, my husband begged me to come backrunning after my secret billionaire ex wifehe wanted me gone, now he wants me backhis love for me came too late
I stood in my doorway and thought about his eyes on my stomach and the two seconds it had taken the mask to return and what had been underneath it in those two seconds. Not the thing I had expected. Not anger or calculation or the cold machinery of a man revising his strategy.... Something older than all of that. Something I didn't have a name for and didn't intend to give one to. I went back inside. Locked the door. Called Alex... "I'm heading home in an hour," I said, when he picked up. A pause. Then: "I'll have dinner ready."

It took me a little while to get into this story due to how it’s written but now I cannot wait to read the updated chapters. Highly recommend you read this book. Great story line which has me hanging for more!

Let’s give Mason some credit at being devilish…. He is very manipulative and thanks to him Maya learnt very early and now it’s beating him at his own game.. I support Maya and Alex for a happyever after…. Can’t stop getting enough of Maya…..

This is a great book. I can't begin to express the several emotions I felt coursing through my veins while reading it. For this book, I've cried, laughed, and puzzled my mind with what would happen next. Definitely a good read I'd recommend to anyone.

"Of course he won't be happy about his wife's name being mentioned, even if it was you. Whoever wrote that article certainly didn't know who they were dealing with." Exactly five minutes after Aaron left Regina's office, her phone rang. Regina glanced at the name on the screen. "Hi, Uncle Adam, how are you?" Regina greeted cheerfully. "You didn't come to the last party." "Gosh, baby pigeon, you just returned after five years of exile and you're already giving me a headache," Adam Whitaker said lightly. "I'm still in Johannesburg now and will be back in two weeks. Make sure you make time to play mahjong with me. Just like old times."

Patiently. I understood patience. I picked up my phone and called Dee. He picked up on the first ring. "Carrow is still active," I said. A pause. "How active?" he said. "Watching for now," I said. "Theo thinks he is building toward something." Dee was quiet for a moment. "Come home," he said. "We need to talk about this properly." "I will be there by seven," I said. "I will make dinner," he said. "Something you actually know how to make," I said.

Back then, Ruby was always dreaming about the capital city of Norcrown. "Silas, if our company ever really makes it big, let's move our headquarters to Norcrown! But I've heard office space in the financial district costs a fortune… When the time comes, let's rent an entire floor and make it grand! How does that sound?" I was still lost in thought when the car stopped in front of an estate in the heart of the city. The moment I walked in, the smell of home-cooked food greeted me. My mom ran out of the kitchen, her eyes red, and she gave me a big hug. "Silas! You're finally home! Look how thin you've gotten! Just how much have you been through out there?!"

Bethany continued, "But things slow down at this time of the year and you’re only a cell phone call away. You said your mom has a fax machine so I think we’re good to go in case something pops up." "In a way, I envy you. Going home for the holidays is always kind of special and going all out on your mom’s project to help the Society group is the icing on top as far as good feelings go. If anyone can make it work, then it’s you.” Bethany smiled at her friend.

However, he feigned indifference and didn't turn to her after getting out. Florence patted Nathan's hand in disbelief. "Why did you come back? Don't you know your aunt is returning home tomorrow? Your brothers left with their wives this morning. Why did you come home?" Nathan shrugged. "I know she's coming back. But I happened to have a mission in Phoenicia." Florence sighed. "That's unfortunate." Just then, Suzanne walked over and politely greeted him, "Hello, General Morrison." In Florence's mind, Nathan and Suzanne were only a couple by name. Thus, she wasn't surprised by the distant greeting.

The story between Chubs and Nate got pretty dragging but I can't complaint, since I did end up loving this novel more than I thought I would. Halfway through 1088 chapters, things got more interesting and the ending was pretty good. Thanks for making the stories worth reading.

I really like the book, i've been stuck on it since i've found it .. it's just that the chapters are too short, it's basically a money grab... irritating that you can't read for at least 2-5 mins without having to pay for a new chapter.

"Finish this one, then take a break. You've studied enough today." Mom rested her chin in her hand and watched Sadie work. Her eyes held the kind of pride and warmth I hadn't gotten from her in forever. Then someone knocked. Mom's whole body relaxed, like she'd finally released a breath. "Vienna's back," Sadie said, smiling. "She came home to say sorry." Mom stayed in her chair. She just tipped her chin at the door. "Don't you have a key? Open it yourself." Nothing. A few seconds passed. Mom frowned and called again.

The soul-bond, warm and steady, doing what it had been designed to do. From Jax, a new message arrived. Seven words: All teams confirmed complete. Come home. I cooked. I sent back three: On our way. I put my phone away and walked out of Moonstone Hall into the ordinary dark, and for the first time since the night my grandmother told me the entity would come back wearing her face, I did not feel the presence of it at the edges. Just the night. Just the covenant. Just the long road back to wherever home was now, which was several places and none of them the house on Thornridge's eastern edge with the draft in the window, and all of them somehow still that too.

The Heir Must Come Home The first rogue crossed the threshold. The house attacked. Not Damien. Not me. The house. The moment the creature’s clawed foot touched the entry hall floor, the walls groaned inward and silver light erupted from the crown-and-claw symbol carved beneath the old rug. I had not known it was there. Of course I hadn’t. This house had apparently spent my entire childhood hiding architecture, trauma, and aggressive interior magic. The rogue screamed. A real scream.
