And for a second, I wondered if I was becoming as much a part of his world as he was becoming of mine. That evening, as I returned home, I found Favour still glued to her laptop and Gift sprawled on the couch, exhausted from work. I dropped onto the armrest beside her, exhaling deeply. Favour glanced up. “You’re smiling.” “No, I’m not,” I denied immediately. Raphael yelled over his shoulder, "Didn't my mom ask you to start trying for a baby? You said no, didn't you? You don't want to give birth? Fine. Once Brie has the baby, we'll raise it for you. Raphael was in the way earlier, so I couldn't give it to you." He fastened the earring and leaned back to take a good look, visibly pleased.
