The Guardians Read Online Free Novels & Stories

A second page unfolded from the bottom of the letter. Invisible until now. Amara stared at it in astonishment. Nathan smiled. "Every Guardian only receives the second page..." "...when a Keeper is present." Amara began reading. "If you choose destruction..." She paused. "...you must first answer one question." She looked at Nathan. "That's all?" Nathan nodded. "Read the question." Her voice echoed softly through the archive. "Can you destroy evil..." She swallowed. "...without destroying the innocent who stand beside it?"

one of the guardians spoke, its voice a melodic blend of wind and water. "You have shown great strength in your battles," another guardian added, its form shimmering with a golden luminescence. Elysia, Valen, and Elara exchanged glances, sensing the profound significance of this encounter. The guardians revealed that the heroes' victory over the malevolent creature had resonated throughout the realm, causing a ripple effect that awakened dormant energies and ancient guardians.

“A great evil rose. A darkness older than memory itself. And five Guardians stood against it.” Gasps rippled through the crowd. All eyes turned to the group near the front—Cheyenne, Nalia, Tora, Chelsea, and Isolde. The Guardians. Their Guardians. “They won. We won. The world is safe—because of them.” The grounds erupted in cheers. Howls rang out, fists raised high, pups leapt into the air. It was a rare, raw moment of pure pride and relief. Ben let them have it—for a few beats—then raised his hand again.

Hopefully you'll enjoy the next generation of Guardians as much as you enjoyed the first trilogy. Also, if you haven't tried it, I have a book out called The Arena. It's the first in the Elemental Dragons series. It's very different from this world of the Guardians. That book is filled with shifters and, you guessed it, dragons. That series is intended to have four books, one for each dragon.

And then looked at the fire crackling in front of them. “When the civilizations where young, the Lord of the Heavens chose three gifted humans to protect the chamber of knowledge and history. He chose them not because of their lineage but because for their specific gifts. One could summon any creature, both magical and mythical, another could make the elements stopped as if he lorded it while another controls the elements. They’re called the guardians. Their purpose is to protect the secrets which lies inside the Chamber and only them could access it.” “Why so, mama?” she inquired as she inched closer to her mother.

Charlotte froze. James stopped reading. The apartment fell completely silent. Connection. James slowly looked at her. Darrien did the same. Charlotte whispered the word aloud. “…Connection.” James nodded almost imperceptibly. “Your gift.” She swallowed hard. “No…” James pointed at the page. “It’s written here.” Darrien leaned closer. “The others…” James looked back at the journal. “Keep reading.” ⸻ Each gift was entrusted to a guardian. Some families protected them. Others tried to control them.

He squinted at the text. "I cannot read the small print," Cale said. "The letters are swimming." "I'll read it," Elion said. "It says... 'The Guardian is powered by memory. Memory is the fuel. To break the loop, the Guardian must stop burning fuel.'" "Impossible," Cale said instantly. "If I stop burning fuel, I stop moving. If I stop moving, the entropy catches up. You die." "Read the next line," Elion said. He pointed. "'Or... the fuel source must be changed.'"

Before there was a Reader. Another page. There was a Listener. Adrian frowned. "A Listener?" The little girl whispered, "The oldest guardians." "They never changed stories." "They never wrote them." "They only listened..." "...until stories found their true meaning." The Gate trembled violently. A distant melody echoed beyond the endless white light. It wasn't music. It sounded like millions of people quietly reading at the same time. The voices blended together... forming a rhythm older than language itself. Adrian listened carefully. Somewhere inside that endless chorus...

“Sh—She’s my sister. You can’t—can’t kill her. P—Please.” His hand smooths over my cheek, and his eyes tighten. “She tried to kill you.” His tone is deep, a meld between his human voice and the raspy growl of the wolf. I shook my head, finding it difficult to say anything further. Everything hurts. I hear footsteps, and I look at the doorway to see the back of Arabella’s dress as she runs for her life. My body sinks into Robert’s, and I close my eyes, unable to hold on, unable to fight this creeping darkness. All I know is that I’m safe. Robert will protect me.

I asked loudly but didn't get any response from him, so I just decided to read what was written on it. "Darkness, blood, and death will soon invade our world. Flamis, Glaciers, Baylans, and of all tribes are in danger. Only the Fated Savior can save us all! Born in a forbidden love but was blessed with four great guardians as protectors. We must find her!" I shifted my gaze back at Cool after reading the page containing their so-called 'prophecy'. "So, how does this explain everything?" I asked with a doubtful look. "Simple. You are the Fated Savior and I am one of your guardians. Do I need to tell more?" He answered with a cold expression.
