That isn’t strange- it’s pure madness. Demons, being extremely strong supernatural beings, do not fall prey to mortal diseases like cancer. Their wounds are never infected, because they heal too fast to leave festering sores, and their immune system, or whatever demonic equivalent they have, is too powerful for the likes of sepsis or inflammation, not unless the injury is to their True Soul. However, they are not immune to afflictions of the mind and soul. So it is possible for a demon to succumb to madness, depression, schizophrenia and other curses, which may inadvertently affect them physically.

Lyon, knowing how the story goes in normal books, seems to blissfully listen as the professor explains the knowledge he has. According to the books taught in school, there was once a human who threw his humanity away to make a deal with the devil. The deal was that the human would be capable of using magic but in exchange he was tasked to collect 5000 pure souls, the human obliged with the devils request. He was then later known to be the Demon Lord Abaddon, who laid waste on those who stood against him. The story in the normal academic textbooks about the History of Magic was contradicting every paragraph as to why professors tend to bend the story a little to their amusement.

My brows furrowed at his action. “Are you from the demon realm?” I was stunned. So, even the demons are allowed to participate and enter the heavenly realm? As far as I know, the demon and the gods are not on good terms. It is quite surprising that a demon is able to enter the realm. Or maybe things turned the other way around?

Then like before, the world around the two of them changed. They were standing in the infinite galaxies. Above their heads were the dark clouds to which the demon's energy was dispersing. Around them was the sea of stars. The demon opened its eyes abruptly. There was still the unbearable pain that constantly tore his soul apart. The pain was indescribable making him lose his sanity. However, the beautiful scenery before him made him forget it for a second. Sir Benjamin pointed upwards. "You don't have to wait for your next reincarnation. You are becoming a part of that cloud now."
