The Alpha's Heart - The Nightshade Pack Chronicles (Book 1)

The Alpha's Heart - The Nightshade Pack Chronicles (Book 1)

Her life had lost colour completely and her days as a child were over. The front door was an old heavy wooden door that creaked when it was opened. The strong scent of mothballs and dust filled the house. There was a lounge to the left with chairs covered in faded red velvet in front of a fireplace. The walls were covered from top to bottom with books. To the right, she smelled pork chops, potatoes, beef stroganoff, lamb chops, and steak. She remembered the kitchen was behind the dining room area. Her Grandmother appeared from the kitchen with a sympathetic smile and showed her upstairs where there were two bedrooms and one bathroom. The bedrooms were full of antique furniture. The room wher

I just finished the first chapter and I'm enjoying the different story and back story! I love her writing. It's a pleasure to read. How often do you update? I rarely read unfinished stories, but this captured my imagination. Thanks ...

Worth a read. Best things (without spoilers): 1) the mate bond doesn’t wait for a certain age for either wolf; it happens at “the right time” for both. 2) everyone evolves at their own pace. 3) Angels are cool. 4) strong female leads. Another note: no excessively erotic scenes; story is good pace.

The king of Ashes

The king of Ashes

(Isabella’s POV) The safe house was a tomb, filled with the ghosts of a life that wasn't mine. Dust sheets covered the heavy, ornate furniture, and the air was thick with the stale, stagnant scent of time. The brutal, adrenaline fueled escape from Bianchi’s gala felt a world away, but the true horror of the night was just beginning to settle in my bones, a cold, creeping dread that no locked door could keep out.

The tension between Alessandro and Isabella is ... right from the start, and I love how she’s defiant instead of just scared. It’s steamy, full of power plays, and already has some crazy drama going on. Only a few chapters in, but it’s addictive…def giving me those late-night read. 4.5/5 so far.

The Beastly Lycan's Unwanted Wife

The Beastly Lycan's Unwanted Wife

The deafening silence only intensifies my fear, leaving me with a sinking feeling that something truly horrific has occurred. I took my step after standing paralyzed for so long, one step at a time, slowly. And as my feet move, the scene before my eyes gets much more horrifying. The furniture is overturned, the walls are splattered with blood, and a chilling breeze sends shivers down my spine. My heart races as I realize that I am not alone in this house, and the unknown presence lurking in the shadows only fuels my terror.

The Perfect Thief

The Perfect Thief

She grimaced and slightly shook my arm. "You're with me, right? So why should I be afraid?" I had no choice but to come with her. She smiled at me whenever we heard someone was shouting inside that horror house. As we entered a tiny darkroom, I was walking behind Astrid and warned anyone who was trying to scare her. I immediately noticed the cobwebs that covered all the corners of this room, just like how it was done to any other horror house. There were some spiders that we were threading towards their prey. There were some light bulbs that were being turned on and off by someone just to scare anyone who may enter. I kicked some of the zombies who were hiding behind some curtains. Astrid li

The House Beneath the Blood Moon

The House Beneath the Blood Moon

“OH MY GOD I HATE THIS HOUSE.” From the distance, the House hummed irritably—offended. “Sorry, Brenda!” Samantha yelled. The House buzzed once—accepting the apology. --- Then the hum changed. Turned sharp. Frantic. Panicked. Samantha stiffened. “Lucien. That’s Brenda. What is she saying?” I listened. Varyn House was screaming through the roots of the earth. One word. Over and over. Danger. “Sebastian,” I said softly.

Haunted Beasts

Haunted Beasts

I suppose it's probably for the best, I don't want him anywhere near this mess, if it were up to me he would have never been exposed to this whole other world. "Everything is fine." I don't even know why I'm saying that. I have three demons in my house and two of them are trying to kill me. "Go back to my room. Everything is going to be fine...." I don't even get to finish that sentence as Soliaire surprises me by finally driving his hand into my flesh, grasping my heart and ultimately burning me. I didn't see it coming because my eyes were sorely on Sky and that gave Soliaire the perfect diversion.

The Housekeeper's Claim

The Housekeeper's Claim

After hearing him out, Daniel and I decided to drive home overnight. Before we left, Great-Uncle Harold added that once the spirit-bound blood disappeared, she would suffer retaliation from the infant’s soul. As for what kind of retaliation, he didn’t say. By the time we reached home, it was already past midnight. Once inside, we turned on the lights and found the sculpture in the northwest corner of the living room. We used a power saw to cut it open. Sure enough, at the base of the sculpture was a transparent sealed vial.

Lucifer's Horrors Circus

Lucifer's Horrors Circus

It was so liberating for him, that little by little and without realizing it, he began to shout it. "I am not a monster! I am not a monster!" He was screaming, louder and louder. Convinced for some strange reason that he was not a freak. Jonah ran out of his house and screamed that he was not a monster. He was running so fast that he had to hold Alma's head in his hand so that it wouldn't bother him. The people who saw him pass by looked at him strangely, his presence provoking disgust. But the children were afraid to see him. They wondered in their innocent little minds who was that strange little man, who possessed the color of the night and carried on his shoulder a strange head?

HOUR OF THE WOLF

HOUR OF THE WOLF

Tears flowed down her bruised face. She turned towards the door to run for help, but Dovie slammed it shut before she could get there. "Does he still look like just a man?" Her grandfather called out over laboured breaths as he continued electrocuting the man over and over. A spasm of fear crossed her face, and the colour drained from her complexion. She wasn't sure what she was looking at anymore. Hanging from his arms in the middle of the room was a beast, an abomination, a strange wild creature.

Hell Hounds

Hell Hounds

Ian followed Yolanda down into a sub-basement. They walked down a ramp from outside the packhouse to a vault door. It was a typical vault door. If a person ignored the glowing runes around the door. It was unnerving to see something he would expect in a horror movie. “What are the marks for? Symbols?” Yolanda laughed as she opened the heavy door.
