Novel & Cerita The Housemaid Book Explained

"Duly noted, and no snoring, I like having a peaceful night sleep." Nikolai scoffed and turned off the bedside lamp on his side, but I leaned over to switch on mine. I wasn’t ready to sleep yet. My nerves were still buzzing, and I needed something to distract me. To distract me from all this, from Nikolai and his family and my own thoughts. I reached for one of the books I’d brought with me from home. "The Housemaid" by Freida McFadden. The author that Leo and I had talked about during dinner.

She had nothing to do at home and she was sure Lyla wouldn't talk to her throughout the entire day and as for her mother, she would prefer to stay far away from her until her father finally returns. She let out a sigh, stood up, walked towards her door and locked it. She squatted down, stretching her hand underneath her bed to reach the book she had carefully hidden there. After much struggle she was able to reach the book. Her lips curved into a sly smile, holding the book so preciously in her hand. She laid on her bed, admiring the book. She had bought this book back then to know more about what happens between a man and a woman during their wedding night. Surprisingly, it wasn't only a bo

“Mrs Harris, should we go ahead?,”Amelia was lost in thought that she was deaf to the maid’s question. “Mrs Harris, should I commence the cleaning?” She said again with a higher pitch and Amelia was forced to listen.she gave her a doubtful look and rubbed her protruding belly nervously. In Pamela’s absence, she was the woman of the house, she shouldn't be too scared to do the needful. “Go ahead Martha.” A boost of confidence filled her heart, the handmaid send a signal to the rest of the idle maids who followed her into the darkest room in the mansion.

“You must be tired from the journey. Rest well tonight. You’ll start tomorrow morning.” She turned to leave, but Tessy’s unease bubbled over. “Wait!” she called. “Is this… is this how the other maids’ rooms are? Like this?” Her words stumbled out, awkward and desperate. Lilly blinked, confusion crossing her face. She glanced around the lavish room, then back at Tessy. “Honestly? I’m just as confused as you are. But you must be… special.” “What?” Tessy asked sharply. “The maids’ quarters are downstairs. They’re nothing like this. Only Margaret stays upstairs. But since you’re here as the assistant head maid, you’re next in line. This is your place.”

She only came back because her father summoned her, and because Omar had said it was time, and partly because she was still trying to find answers as to whether Anthonia was really involved in the attempt on her life back in New York. By this time, the rain had stopped and looking through the window, she could see the spot that used to be her mother’s garden, which had now been turned into a huge fountain. And somewhere in this house, the same people who made her childhood a nightmare were waiting for her to come downstairs for lunch and pretend everything was fine. Or were they truly changed?

"At least make it believable. This maid has been mooching off our family for months, and now she's broken into my estate." Lucas raised an eyebrow. "Your estate? And who's your mother?" "My mother is Alice Hayes!" Lucas paused — then gave her a thin, contemptuous smile. "Alice?" "Isn't that the boss's housekeeper?"

She cleaned all the rooms, one after the other, including the room Savy had stayed in and Gerald's as well. When she got to Stanley's room, she hesitated as she did not know how he would react if he found out that she had entered his room. She would have left the room but it was unkempt and she believed that as his maid, it was her responsibility to clean his room, hence, she took her time and thoroughly cleaned the room, putting everything in its place. She was exhausted after cleaning the whole house and went straight to the bathroom and afterward her bed, before sleeping off.

I suggested, after all, it has worked for me on many occasions. “That’s a good impression I must say” He conceded to my words as he led me to the maid’s building, Merely looking at it I could tell that it was made of three floors. I wonder how many servants they have here. As I got into the house wearing a smile on my face I stared at the Chief of servants. “Are you a new maid?” “Yes I’m new around here, I just got here and he’s handling everything for me” She whisked away as she saw Cage.
