RUBY I open my eyes after a long nap, wondering if I crossed over to the other side after passing out. I trail my fingers over my belly, the place that Jack stabbed me doesn't throb anymore- I jerk up and look around the simple room and my eyes widen as I realise where I am. The last thing I remember was passing out in my mate's garden. Where am I? This is… his room. Besides everything smelling like him, I know because I've watched him for the past weeks, stalking him and sneaking in to sniff his environment and even his bedsheets.

Irene thought the mate bond would work, but perhaps Duncan wasn't really her mate, maybe it was just an Illusion created by Sophie. As Duncan walked towards the banquet hall, the most refreshing scent assaulted his senses, making him breathless for a second. Duncan was stunned, his eyes widening in surprise. His subconscious, Sai growled, his heart filled with delight as he stared at Irene, “She's our mate, Duncan. We've finally found her.” Duncan’s expression changed for a split second, but in less than a minute, his face became expressionless.

Little Aikiz would ask. “You see, honey. I have a very weak body. I get sick easily.” The lady would lie, forcing a smile. “Should I get you a doctor?” “No, honey. I just need company. Stay by my side for a while.” Recalling those old memories made Aikiz realise that the late Luna loved her like a real daughter. Also, the late Lycan was a monster. This room is the proof. “And what the hell am I doing here?” Aikiz murmured.

I shot back, my voice trembling with a mix of anger and desperation. The labyrinth seemed to absorb our heated exchange, its ancient walls holding the echoes of our conflict. Shadows flickered ominously, and the whispers in the air grew more insistent, as if the maze itself were urging us to find common ground. Dorian and I were locked in a standoff, our conflicting principles and the weight of responsibility pulling us in opposite directions. As we faced the labyrinth's mysteries and the impending crisis, it remained to be seen whether we could bridge the gap between us or if our discord would ultimately be our downfall.

She lifted the box, and the whispers in the walls fell silent. The silence was more terrifying than the voices had been. Yuri opened the box. Inside was a single scrap of parchment with a phrase written in dark ink: “The heart of the labyrinth is not where it beats, but where it bleeds.” --- Soo-ah’s heart lurched. “He’s taunting us. The static snarls, *wrong, wrong, wrong*. “You’re not real,” I say. Renn tilts his head. ***Aren’t I?*** The ground splits, swallowing us whole. --- **The Labyrinth** We land in a maze of mirrors, each reflection a prison for a stolen soul. Veyra claws at the glass, her blood smearing Renn’s smirking face. “He’s gone,” I snap, yanking her back. “That thing is a *mimic*.” “Then why does it hurt?” she rasps.

Mind on autopilot, I rushed to the closet, quickly got dressed, and headed out of the room. I descended the staircase, reaching out to Dexter via mindlink and searching for Lucius, only to come face to face with a portal, which appeared in the middle of the living room, growing larger by the second. "What the..." My eyes bugged from their sockets as I watched a man step out of the portal, dressed in black with a claw mark across his eyes. A dark and dreadful aura emanated from him, and rogues without number poured out of the portal, filling up the living room.

He stared at the vortex, his heart pounding in his chest, his mind filled with a sense of dread. “Come, Mason,” Ste-phen said, his voice urging him forward. “The future awaits.” Mason hesitated, his feet rooted to the ground, his fear holding him back. He wanted to run, to escape this strange, terrifying world that had suddenly opened up before him. But he knew he couldn’t. He knew he was trapped, a prisoner in a game he didn’t understand. Taking a deep breath, Mason stepped forward, his heart pounding in his chest, his every sense on high alert. The vortex seemed to pull him in, its dark tendrils reaching out to him, beckoning him to step into the unknown.
