Alexa yawns.

Gasps filled the crowd. “Why won't she just give up? Lord Lucas might kill her.” Lylah blinked and mumbled, “He hits women; he's definitely not a gentleman… hmp." She shrugged and folded her arms. "I don't like gentlemen anyway; they are practically boring.” The girl nearby gave her a fleeting look, disgusted, before returning her gaze to the show. She spoke again, “She must be desperate to win. If she manages to strike the Lord just once, he'll grant her wish of joining the warriors.”

“I would, Your Highness, but I have the castle of May to manage,” Lady Celia responded, turning down the prince’s invitation. She had become fond of the prince, but everything was too confusing. She had never heard of someone being reborn or gone back in time before and did not know what was real and not anymore. Whatever the truth was, the only thing she was certain of was her friend’s love and loyalty.

“I wish I were.” I buried my face in my hands. “You demons are exhausting.” Lady Neris laughed from across the table. “It’s an old custom.” “Hardly anyone uses it anymore.” Elle’s voice cut through the room. “Some of us still appreciate tradition.” I looked up and she was smiling at me. “Who?” Lee asks, “The princess?” Cindy turns her dead brown eyes to him. “She’s not royalty,” she snaps, eyes blazing, waving her gun like she is hosting a TED Talk for jealous dumped Bond girls. “She’s just a spoiled brat who gets away with everything because she’s her daddy’s only living kid and men think she’s made of fairy dust and broken sob stories.” Lee raises an eyebrow. “I bet she has perfect cheekbones, though.” I elbow him. Or try to. It looks more like a sad shoulder shrug with intent.

I heard a woman say to a female companion as they walked past me. "Prince Phil is not only brave and good at fighting, Desna. He is also very handsome so even though he is scary because he is cruel, many girls still like him. The girl he will fall in love with is very lucky. I hope I am that girl. I only know one Prince Phil who is a werewolf prince. Prince Phil is a character in the novel my sister loves to read. My eyes widened when I thought I might be inside the novel Girlie was reading.

Jace asked as he picked up a glass of wine from the table and slumped on the couch with a heavy breath that clearly revealed how unhappy he was at everything. "For sure! Maudlin regrets that she slept off yet again after her daughter walked out in anger. "You don't need to Know who I am but be well assured that I ain't here to kill you, I mean no harm my princess." The lady bowed slightly in respect before staring back at Maudlin. Maudlin sometimes sees it as mockery when someone refers to her as a princess since she didn't reach the standard of a princess,which princess doesn't have ability to defend themself at least out of the enemies.

Nerea or Nurea said, with a sweet smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. She really couldn't tell the bloody imps apart nor did she care to. They were alike in all ways except where one fancied berating people quite harshly, the other tended to do it quite politely, seeing herself as the ultimate example of lady like perfection. But weren't they right? They already lost their kingdom to Khasi and there was no one to help her take it back. Well no one but Hayden. But the blasted Lord Rickard stood in her path like a giant and she didn't see anyway she could get past him.
