Dark Luna Rising

Dark Luna Rising

And with that promise echoing in his heart, he surged forward, his pack close behind, ready to face whatever darkness lay ahead. A few hours later, the first light of dawn crept over Blackthorn, painting the ruined courtyard with muted gold and crimson hues. In that fragile morning glow, Diego stood atop a shattered wall, surveying the aftermath of last night’s battle. Amid the remnants of shattered stone and spilled blood, a familiar sound stirred hope in his weary heart—the steady, resolute voices of his pack.

Divorced at Midnight, Desired by Dawn

Divorced at Midnight, Desired by Dawn

The connection went dead, the sharp, electronic disconnect tone echoing off the mahogany walls. Chloe looked up at Marcus. Marcus stood by the window, the morning light catching the raw, terrifying clarity in his blue eyes. The corporate kingdom was theirs, the logistics hubs were secure, but the trap his father had set five years ago was still open, waiting for them to take the final step. “We have two hours,” Marcus murmured, his voice dropping into a low, icy baritone that held no room for defeat. Chloe looked down at her tablet, where the digital clock was ticking steadily toward ten. The execution was complete, but the signature was still dry.

The Perfect Duchess Dies At Dawn

The Perfect Duchess Dies At Dawn

Now, I listened to the news of Alistair and Damian's deaths as if it were a story about strangers. "Is that all?" I asked. "That is all, Your Highness." I stood and walked toward the beach. The sun was setting, making the water glitter. There was no gloom of the duchy here. No pain of betrayal. No fear of death. There was only freedom. Only a new beginning. I took a deep breath of the salt air. Freedom. I smiled and walked toward my new life. The man named Alistair, the boy named Damian, and the duchess named Seraphina—they were all dead.

Toward the Sun

Toward the Sun

“You aren’t unable to move because of sleep paralysis anymore.” Jaladri’s stomach twisted. “That was my strike. You won’t be able to move again until sunrise. So if you'd like to perform the dawn prayer, you'll have to do it spiritually. Your body is temporarily unavailable.” If Jaladri had been capable of moving, his eyes would have bulged out of his skull. Until sunrise? Like this? With his chest feeling as though a horse had kicked through it? “Control your breathing and the pain will lessen. But moving? Forget it. Not until morning. And if you suddenly need to urinate...”

Dawn of the Vampires

Dawn of the Vampires

"I uh- I think Julian should take this one." Julian lifted his head in surprise, but made no comment on her efforts. He nodded in her direction, as if to thank her, and then he cleared his throat to speak. "Right, well… As I stated, I've been around the coven and I can confirm that Demitri has become a day walker since- oh, you know." "Yeah, I second this. It wasn't just the edge of the night when he threatened me earlier, this was broad daylight." Harley agreed.

The Return to Crimson Dawn

The Return to Crimson Dawn

(Jessa’s POV) After a long five and a half hours I finally turn off the main highway onto the gravel road leading into Crimson Dawn. I reach beside me and grab Cole’s hand, rubbing it gently in an effort to wake him. He stirs lightly from the nap he’s been in for the past hour. “Start waking up, Cole. We’re almost home.” I speak calmly despite the growing anxiety within me. Spending the last two months with Cole at the Shadowlands pack has been both nerve racking and relaxing at the same time despite how oxymoronic that even sounds.

Land of the Midnight. Whispers of the lips

Land of the Midnight. Whispers of the lips

She rubbed her eyes to get the remaining sleep off her eyes as she stood up in pain from sleeping on the cold, rough floor the night before. She went to the only piece of furniture in the room where she kept her brush holder and brushed her teeth before warming the leftover porridge from the night before. She then took a bath and got ready for the day. "Wish me luck, Sun and Moon Goddess." "May today be more fruitful than the days before" she prayed as she locked her door and walked to town. "Good day, Ms.Kate." "Mister Borrel, good morning." Kate made a small bow to the townsman, which he acknowledged.

Darkrise: Dawn of Darkness

Darkrise: Dawn of Darkness

We appeared defeated and hopeless, so there's no reason for her to keep it a secret anymore. "This realm? Mortals have called it by different names: purgatory, asphodel, hel; however, we call our home Dalaket, the land of the lost between the mortal realm and underworld. It gives us so much pride to see our home become the gate to Tartarus and you shall be our sacrifice for the ritual. As for our queen, it's none other than the goddess of discord herself, Eris," explained the Dalaket who taunted me by tracing her nails on my face. I started to laugh, and I saw the Dalaketnons look at me with both wonder and annoyance.
