King Fabian hardened eyes gazed around, a flash of anger in his eyes as he instructed his soldiers to ride faster into the palace of Honile, the third kingdom of the 8th kingdoms. Seated next to him is Prince Philip who had the same countenance as his father, his royal clothing stood firm on his body. It’s the last of the three in the series and it’s quite different from the first two stories that were carefully planned. The viewing ended at a high note although some are still hoping the main characters would have ended together. “That’s the reason why this story is airing on the last weekend of February. We want to make sure that the Valentine’s bug isn’t strong enough by the time it’s shown to the public,” Lora joked to the audience. Cela smiles at everyone. It’s a nice experience writing something that’s loosely based on real events but it would have been better if the real events are also better events.

“The day he died was the day we became more than some whimpering fools. He buried this kingdom, and I saved us from drowning.” Devin was visibly shaking, and I looked at the king slack jawed. This was his kingdoms deepest secret, and he just blurt it out like some drunken fool. I knew better though, as I watch the king settle back into his fake mask of a smile. He did nothing without precise thought. The king was always four steps ahead, and we were crawling behind. I looked at Devin, his emotions written boldly across his face, as his world came crumbling down in front of his multi-colored eyes. I needed to break this tension before it turned into an uncontrolled tornado.

Wearing only thin clothes, barefoot. “Welcome to the Kingdom of Voneveir!” That voice was so familiar in his ears. Alexis can never be wrong about it. It was his son, Allan. "Your Majesty, Do you have any last words for your people?" Being humiliated like a criminal who purged innocents, does he really deserve to receive such disgrace? “Your homeland whom you loved…” Remembering every sleepless night he had in order to manage every problem his kingdom is facing… “… your people whom you cherished… “

He walked to the window. Looked out over the city. Lights flickered below. Alive. Unaware. A faint, humorless smile touched his lips. “So…” His voice was low. Almost thoughtful. “The king of the underground.” A pause. His eyes darkened slightly. “My son.” The words came easier this time. Not softer. But accepted. His head tilted slightly. “If he rules…” A breath. “Then I rule.” Not dominance. Not greed. Something else. Recognition. Blood. Legacy.

He looked among his fellow kings, "That's why we should make her pay." Javier chuckled dryly, tightening his crossed arms, "You see, you keep saying that but, so far, I haven't heard anything interesting at all." Marcus pursed his lips in a small smile, "Whoever gets to make her break and fall first gets to keep her." The three of them looked at each other, seemingly satisfied with that. SOme of the kingdoms that waged war against them were slowly withdrawing from the crushing defeat some of the other kingdoms had suffered in their hands but he also knew that it didn’t matter, they had to keep up their defenses. They couldn’t afford to back down now, he also knew that the wars had done them a favour, while they didn’t confer to the other kingdoms standards, they could also finally leave the title of being a rogue kingdom behind.
