Danger. I turned. And there she was. The librarian. Standing at the door, her frail frame outlined by the torchlight. Her eyes wide, mouth parted in shock. I stiffened, caught mid-theft like a pup with blood on his muzzle. “Well,” I said dryly, closing the book with exaggerated calm. “This is awkward.” Her lips trembled. “W-who are you? What are you doing...” I lifted a hand. “Shhh. I’m the friendly neighborhood bookworm. Here to… improve my literacy.”

Now it felt dangerous. My phone buzzed. Wesley. Wesley: I’m outside the library entrance. Not coming in but I’m close. Be careful, baby. If anything feels wrong, scream. Me: Stay back. I mean it. I pushed through the main doors. The night librarian barely looked up from her desk. Second floor. My footsteps echoed on the stairs. The usual corner was dimly lit, shelves casting long shadows. “Hello?” I whispered, voice shaky. “I’m here. What do you want?”

He looked at it for a long time. "What?" Elian said, quietly, beside him. "One of the three," Dante said. "That the librarian gave me." Elian looked at the book on the shelf. A different edition — thirty years of editions since then — but the same title, the same series. "Still in print," Elian said. "Still here," Dante said.

“He doesn’t show it to just anyone. Eat up. I’ll take you over.” I ate quickly, my mind already racing ahead. The castle was a maze of stone and whispers, but the library… that sounded quiet. Safe. Lira led me to two tall wooden doors and gave me a little push. “Go on. I’ll be right out here.” I pushed the doors open. The library was big. I mean, really big. Shelves towered over me, stuffed with more books than I’d ever seen. And in the middle of it all, by a huge window, stood Lucian.

Larissa came to me and hugged my feet. "Tomorrow is school day, go shower and do your homework" Ben said, he already told them not to play outside because rain will come in a second and he's right. They didn't listen and this is what they got Blake and Nicholas when upstairs and followed by Arsenal. Nicholas and Larissa are my twins and they're so loveable but sometimes this kinda thing happen. Larissa walked upstairs too and I sighed. I walked to the sofa followed by Ben sitting next to me. "Are you tired?" He asked

The last gentleman he noticed was Cerdic, sipping his favorite scotch, standing near the mantle piece. "From your summons, old friend," Rafael strolled to join them, locking the door behind him. "I didn't realize this meeting holds precedence over my other...activities for the day." He would have loved catering to Radina's whims all day until it was time to meet Dinara at the Uni. He sighed, helping himself with a glass of scotch, he raised his brow waiting for a response. Lucifer ran his fingers through his dark hair impatiently. His icy-blue eyes seemed colder if that was possible. "I found something." He pointed at the corner. "A street rat."

Upon the front desk, piles of leather-bound books rested, covering the sight of the old man—but she could see his wrinkled hand with a quill, writing on the parchment. In quick succession, she crawled beneath the tables and slipped into the towering shelves unnoticed. Librad contained over twenty red-oak book stacks, all aligned in columns and rows, and also surrounded by an entire wall of shelves. Through the narrow space above one section of books, Larice spied the Persian-red door behind the old keeper. She needed to lure the man away from the desk for a short while, so she could head for the door without being spotted. All of a sudden, a silent laugh hissed from the back row of the shelv

But their faces wore utmost respect to my father, Erik. We reached double doors with carved writing on top of them that said ‘Library’. Cold temperature rushed out as my dad opened them. The room was properly lighted and a thick red carpet covered all over its floor. It was larger than my dad’s chambers with few study tables. The room held racks of books and they were divided in two. One group was labeled ‘Keepers’ and the other said ‘Witches’. I saw Lyla brought a book and she walked past me. She smiled and her eyes glimmered against the light. She was cute. Nobody was left inside the room except for me and dad.

I let out a content sigh , wishing that this moment could last forever. Some thing changes my eye , and my attention is drawn below me but further away in the distant. I see a tiny flame being lit , and then another and another and another – some one is lighting lamps. I squint my eyes to see better and a overwhelming feeling washes over me when I see Xavier carrying the lamps and hanging them around the outside of the stables.

“I’m sure it’ll fit right in, next to your hobbit ring, rabbit’s foot and twenty sets of lipsticks.” Lizzy stuck her tongue out and turned back to the bed. “I brought you some magazines and a book to read. I found them in my bedside drawer.” She pulled them out from behind her seat and laid them on the bed. Johnny’s sly grin should’ve warned him. Slater glanced down and recoiled. Cosmopolitan and Vogue slid aside to reveal a book cover of a shirtless man—in a loincloth—clutching a woman in a torn dress on a beach. His long hair blew in the wind as he gazed into her doe-like eyes.
