The Luna He Rejected Novels & Stories

"Does that mean nothing to you?" He looked down at me from the stage, his expression completely heartless. "Love does not build empires." That was the moment something inside me shattered completely. The bond thrashed in agony inside my chest. But as the pain ripped through me, it began to harden into something entirely new. Something fierce. Lupus took a deep breath, locking his piercing gaze onto mine before the entire pack. "I, Alpha Lupus Kai, reject you, Sera Ashford, as my mate and Luna," he declared firmly.

I said amidst tears. He looked at me long and hard for some moment and before I knew what was happening the rejection notice began burning. He had used his powers to burn it. “No”…. I cried out trying to salvage it but it had been reduced to ashes. "I am the Alpha. Only I dictate when a Luna is released. Your request is denied." He said icily.

Silence. “Let me help you. You watched an omega collapse in agony as her mate bond was severed. You saw her beg for an explanation, for mercy, for basic compassion. You heard Alpha Marcus call her delusional and order her cast out with nothing. And you did nothing. Said nothing. Felt nothing—or at least showed nothing.” I leaned forward. “Why?” More silence. Finally, the elderly Luna spoke. “Because we believed Alpha Marcus was right. That you were… inappropriate for the Alpha heir. That your attachment was delusional because someone of your station couldn’t possibly be fated to someone of his.”

“That can be discussed.... it should be” “No,” Rowan interrupted smoothly. And then finally He said it. "I want her to be my Luna." The world seemed to stop. Every eye shifted. Every whisper died. Elsie felt it before she even moved. The weight of it. The shock. The lack of faith. Slowly....... His gaze met hers. And he held her there. Unwavering. Unapologetic. “If you refuse,” Rowan continued calmly, his voice cutting through the silence like a blade, “then there will be no agreement.”

My vision blurred and I didn't know if it was from tears or from whatever was happening to my body. "Stand up, Abital." Ruth's voice cut through my pain. "You're embarrassing yourself." I tried but my legs wouldn't cooperate. "She's weak," someone in the crowd said. "She can't even handle a rejection without falling apart." Laughter rippled through some wolves though not all of them. Some looked away, but most of them laughed that made me want to disappear . "I choose Selena Winters as my mate and future Luna," Damon continued. "She is strong where strength is needed."

Luna's eyes widened, full of hope, innocent, and almost painful to reject. His gaze hardened for a moment, then softened. For the first time, he didn't see a woman trying to sell her charms—but someone who was genuinely asking, without a mask. “She is really innocent,” he thought. "That means... You admit that you regret rejecting my proposal?" “Yes!” Luna answered too quickly without hesitation. “I-I regret it. I really regret it,” she continued. “And you admit that you are a stutterbug? You're not mad if I call you that?” Nick grinned slightly.

I turned back and said, “Love can happen anytime and with anyone and why do you guys want a weak Luna like me and not only this, I am the mother of another Alpha's child.” Hearing this, everyone was shocked and started saying, “We will not accept, Luna, a woman who has already been touched by an alpha.” “Yes yes, we do not consider her ours, Luna.” “Alpha Lorenzo should reject this girl, after all who wants such a characterless Luna.” The whole point was only about my rejection and to tell you the truth, I wanted the same thing, I was sure that Lorenzo would reject me but then suddenly she said to Lorenzo in a loud voice, “Silence, i don’t want to hear a single voice.

But the fact that he said it—*that he promised something at all*—made my chest ache in a way I didn’t recognize. “You don’t have to,” I said quickly, even though part of me wanted him to. “I want to,” he replied. “You shouldn’t have to deal with this alone.” Those words—*alone*—hit harder than anything else that day. I nodded, afraid my voice would break. He stood after a moment. “Just… hang on, okay? Lunaris tests people. It gets easier.” “Does it?” I asked softly. He hesitated. “…I think so.”

"He's bleeding because of you." "He's lying!" I'm screaming now. I don't care. "I don't know why, but he's lying. Your mother is lying. Ask anyone who actually knows me—" "Enough." The word hits like a slap. Caden stands in front of me, taller than I remember, colder than I've ever seen him. The torches flicker behind him like even fire is scared to get too close. "The ceremony is void." He says it loud enough for everyone to hear. "I, Alpha Caden Ahearn, reject Selena Hayes as my mate and future Luna. From this moment, the bond is broken. She is nothing to me."

He stood there holding the pack heiress as though nothing had happened, as though rejecting Elena while standing beside another woman was the most natural thing in the world. “Kane...” Elena's voice cracked. The bond was tearing through her, leaving a pain she had never imagined possible. “Six months... You swore to me—” “Isn't it obvious, sweetheart?” Priscilla didn't wait for Kane to answer. A cruel smile pulled at her lips. “An Alpha needs a Luna who commands respect, not a pathetic weakling who spends her days rolling in the dirt with low-ranking guards. You were a temporary mistake.” Elena looked at Kane.
