The Lycan King Mate Novels & Stories

Would I have ended up in a similar situation, dragged to an unknown place by strangers? I wiped away my tears and tried to focus on the present. The people around me seemed to be kind, but their constant talk of being the Lycan mate was starting to weigh on me. I didn't even know what a Lycan was and I have just seen the king just once How was it possible that I was his mate , let alone what it meant to be their mate.

His voice was sharp… furious. He pulled me closer against his chest while his black eyes filled with dark rage. “That woman…” he said slowly, as if he was struggling to control himself. “Is my mate.” Everyone’s breathing stopped, and their faces turned pale. As for me… My heart pounded violently inside my chest. “Alexander’s mate… the Lycan King’s mate. And what did you do to her?” His voice was lower this time… but even more terrifying. I saw Lucian step back, sweat gathering on his forehead despite his attempt to remain composed.

"I-why does he want to do that? I thought that was for mates?" Alex swallowed, his thick throat working down what looked like a lump of fear. "It is, Jane. But for those that don't have mates, or don't want their mate, you can mark anyone. He wants to mark you to become his queen, which tells us he is a Lycan King. He rules over other lycans." Jane hated the sound of all of that. "What are we going to do?" Alex cleared his throat. "We're going to do what we planned. We're going to ask your aunt about anything in your family tree, and then we're going to protect you at all costs."

Instead, he seemed completely unconcerned. He stood up and came over to me and put his hands on my shoulders. "Son, listen to me. One of the requirements of being a Lycan king is to have a mate," he explained. "Malory is a suitable match for you, she's one of us." I shook my head, unable to believe what I was hearing. "But I already have Clarissa," I snapped. "I love her." "Clarissa is not one of us," my father said firmly. "She can never be your mate."

I could not grasp what she was saying that easily. Because of all the denial in my system, I could not help but laugh. It sounded so ridiculous! How could it be true? Was the witch playing with me? "It's impossible! The great king already had Queen Axianna back then as his mate... how could he be mated with another woman once again?" That was when Nidhi proceeded with her story. "The truth that most of us didn't know until now was the fact that the last Lycan King was a “Moon Child," and it meant that he was destined to have two mates."

“Long time no see.” I felt Liam’s voice directly inside my head, and knew he used a mind link to talk to me. “How dare you get so close to my greatest enemy! What do you think you’re doing? Come back to me,” he hissed. I stared coldly into Liam’s eyes, speaking out loud. “If you can bring Sophia as your date while being my mate, I can bring the Lycan King as mine.” “Alex,” the Lycan King corrected me. He must not like it when I call him by his title, for some reason.

"Matilda, ain't you getting ahead of yourself? You're not my mate… we are just fuck buddies and nothing more." "Are you being serious right now? Lucas, it's been over three years and now you're just going to throw everything down the drain because Veronica has chosen you as her mate and you're going to be the next Lycan king of the Nightshade Pack," Matilda scoffed, eyeing me narrowly. "Matilda you are—"

he says. “Do about what?” I ask, knowing exactly what he means. One of the qualifying factors in becoming Lycan King is to have a mate, but not just any mate, a strong and viable mate. “The law states that an Alpha, or any Lycan, who takes up the title and power of King must have a mate of equal or higher status,” Elder Johnson interrupts, finally speaking. Elder Mann has never gone against my word, and with their little exchange earlier, I knew he still didn’t want to oppose me.

he waved off my pleas like they meant nothing and I huffed as he rose to his feet With a gulp, I grabbed onto his leg and held him so dear to my chest. "Please, Lycan King! Have mercy on me." "Wait what?" He sounded shocked and I looked up at him teary eyed. "Y-You are the Lycan King of this City, right? Please let me go, I swear to never come here again. Also... If you could let me go with my mate-" "Your mate?" He asked again, sounding confused. "Who is your mate?"

I’m cut off. “The Lycan king is only using you for his Mistress. He has a mate also. You mean nothing to him. So get this idea of a savior out of your head. You are nothing but the concubine to Alpha Leopold. It is time you came back and made this all right.” I hold my head in sorrow. What does he mean that the Lycan king has a mate? This can’t be happening again. I refuse to be used again. “Her name is Katarina. She is the next queen. It will never be you. So come back and fix this.” He looks me in the eyes. Pleading for the first time ever. “Please Kemira. It’s so bad there now. We need you.”
