The Lycan King's Treasured Luna Novels & Stories

I stood up before I walked towards the door to open it for Lory after I locked it earlier. "Luna Queen." She bowed her head at me. "Yes, Lory?" I didn't widely open the door for her to know that I don't want anyone inside as I want to be alone. Lory looked at the knob when I pulled it closer to me before she met my eyes again. "Lycan King is in the poolside with the pack. They're calling for you, Luna Queen." Lory slowly said, even watching my reaction to her words. I nodded before I went out of the room and closed the door behind me.

The sunken eyes have returned and she's looking at me as though I turned into a ghost. She pries her lips open to say something but no sound comes out. She closed them again and swallows dryly. I can hear the sound of her heart banging against her ribcage. God, I just destroyed her. “Oh…” She finally manages to exclaim, but the shocked expression on her face has gone no where. “That's… that's cool. I uh…” She scratches the back of her head. “You are the Lycan King, you cannot be without a Luna. It's only right that the Moon goddess sent you my replacement. It's cool.”

Lycans in formal attire moved gracefully through the halls, their presence commanding yet calm. It was a different world here. One I didn’t belong to. The guards bowed low as they led me through towering golden doors into the great hall. The ceremony was already underway, laughter, music, the scent of wine and power filling the air. At the far end of the hall, upon the dais, sat the Lycan King himself. Broad-shouldered, silver-haired, his aura radiating authority. Beside him stood a woman with the same amber eyes, though softer, gentler. The Lycan Luna. And beside her stood a young woman dressed in flowing white and gold, a crown of woven silver upon her head.

My heart rate picked up as a myriad of thoughts cycled through my mind. “I see you’ve already met Lucia, Marcus’s personal Healer,” the Luna Queen said as we both rose back to standing. Both the Queen and Violet turned their attention to me, the smiles never leaving their faces, but something in their eyes made me feel like prey that had accidentally wandered into the wolf’s den.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself, and turned back to the Lycan King. "Who is she?" I asked, my voice cold and menacing. The Lycan King simply smiled, a cruel twist to his lips. "She is your mate's twin sister," he said, his voice carrying a hint of amusement. "And she is my servant. She has been carrying out my orders, and she has been doing a damn good job of it too."

I stroked her head and said patiently, "Honey, studying here is not suitable for you. You are so much smarter than the kids here." She beamed and reluctantly got out of the car. But the second she saw Araceli, she opened the door and raced over to her. "Araceli! Valeria!" She shouted, waving at them happily. I frowned slightly, wondering why she liked them so much. I pulled out my phone and dialed Micah. "Daddy, what's wrong?" The call was quickly answered, and Micah's calm voice came through the receiver. Many people in the Royal Pack said that Micah was as calm and collected as I was, and he was born to become Lycan King.

"The Lycan that you aren't sure will mark you, what happens when he hears about your past? How you haven't resisted the urge of warming other men's beds every night. You are just a mistress, Lila, and I believe that you will always remain one," The silly smug on her face was suddenly dampened with a fierce look, her eyes were brutal and if a chance could present itself I am sure that she couldn't think twice in ending me right away. "Have you forgotten that Lycans only have one chanced mate and the universe has favored me, I am his only mate on this earth, Luna Rhea," she slurred, flashing her canine at me. "He couldn't dare to reject me, it is not like he has any choice, who would like to s

She turned to me to emphasise her words. The ‘Luna’ looked much older than every one of us, with her silver hair and wrinkled face, so it was very unlikely that she was the wife of the Lycan King. And I had also heard that the Lycan King was unmarried, so for this woman to be an acting Luna Queen, it meant that she was likely his mother. It just made more sense. They even bore a deep resemblance—the same strikingly blue eyes.

Yet I could smell his scent lingering in the air. "Calm down, calm down, child," Elara begged, her eyes filled with tears as she held my arms firmly. "You need to breathe." I breathed slowly, trying to calm my racing heart. I wasn't dead. That was good. But now I was a slave to the Lycan King. "Why am I here?" I asked, confused. "Is this where the slaves stay?" I had expected to wake up in a cramped room like the dungeon. But now I was in a luxurious room.

“I am not here to declare open war tonight. I am here to deliver a single, uncomplicated message. The woman you crowned is temporary. The title she wears is borrowed. The crown on her head is stolen. And the Luna you tried to bury beneath river water and carefully crafted stories is very much alive carrying the future of a bloodline that will not forget what was done to her, and protected by a king who will burn the world before he allows her to fall a second time.” Bonen’s fists clenched so tightly at his sides that blood welled beneath his claws. “You overstep, King Hale. This is still Blackthorn territory.” “I have not yet begun to overstep.” Hale’s gaze returned to him, cold and absolute
