Janet was aware of this because she had assisted Finn with some research at the time. Or maybe it was Ethan? Janet furrowed her brows as she turned to the middle of the book. After a few minutes of careful reading, it became clear that this was no longer about time travel. It tells the story of an ancient lycan and his mate, and the journey they took from the 17th century to the 13th century during that time.

This was gold intel. After nearly half an hour without pausing for breath, Mars finally wound down his encyclopedic monologue. He finished with a self-satisfied little bow, as if expecting raucous applause after that performance. "Got it, very mysterious, much wow. Thanks Mars!" I said, shooting him some exaggerated finger guns. He looked slightly crestfallen I didn't fawn over his nerd cred more, but recovered quickly.
