Novel & Cerita The Mating Season Book

’ Vex sounded frustrated. “What do you know about, about mates?” I hesitated. “Specifically, having more than one?” His eyes widened in surprise. “Not much, it’s a pretty rare phenomenon. But I have read some about it. Hold on.” He shuffled to the living area and I could hear him rummaging through papers and books. “Ah ha! Here it is.” He came back and shoved a dusty book on the table towards me. I sneezed as the dust flew up. Wiping my hand over the cover I read. “Dyad’s from the Night Goddess.” I squished my face, “Dyad?”

Besides, I don’t want to make them jealous! When I was able to move around again, I had to start slowly, much to Austin’s amusement. I made my way to the library and started reading books from the list that my mate gave me. I have gone through two books so far. One was about being a Luna and the other was basic knowledge on packs and the hierarchy. I’m starting a third book right now about our kind and things that are good and bad for us. I find this book the most fascinating because it is talking about mate bonds being strong and knowing if one mate is cheating the other feels betrayal pains. It also talks about the most common poisons like Wolfsbane and how it can be administered.

"This life. Whatever blood-oath you think you owe me. Pay it off with the next Blood Moon cycle." I didn't move. "We'll see who owes who." He let out a soft laugh with something warm in it. The sound traveled through where his forehead touched mine, and the cut on the back of my neck where the old mate mark had been severed stopped burning for the first time. ***** The night before the Mating ceremony, Daphne was rummaging through every closet. She laid out the ceremonial gown over and over, fussing for half the night. I had my eyes closed. "Daphne. Sleep." She made an agreeable sound, and was quiet for a second. Then I heard her go through another drawer.

He sucked a spot till I felt numb and I was certain he left a mark. One of his hands cupped my breast through the silk material of my pyjamas "You are driving me crazy Annalise" Ace groaned into my ear and the sound sent blood straight to my core. I could not help the shiver that ran through me "That is the point of the whole mating thing, am I right?" I whispered back. Ace continued kissing me from my neck southwards. I felt his hold hand everywhere and suddenly the cold December air did nothing to ease the heat emanating from Ace.

Fine, I said, dismayed, I feel like her new way of punishing us is mating the alpha’s children together. Wait, what? “You think we’re mates?” He asked. Lifting my head from his lap, I thought “sweet pie” was the only dump among us? I asked him, he got pissed and slapped my hand, I'm serious, he said. “You remember the signs one feels when they meet their mate?” I asked. “Yeah,” he nodded. It's the same feeling we had. Besides, I'm not sure about that yet. Gray swallowed. “Do you think Mildred also feels that too?” he asked.

"If I don't make it, if the fairy does me in, I leave Vespasian as my heir." I walked away laughing at the pandemonium that statement left behind as I took to the sky heading to her place. I'd used the time at the table to map out a plan in my head. Thankfully our mating ritual isn't as long and drawn out as the humans'. Their courting shit can go on for months, sometimes years. That's one of the most baffling things about the species to me. The fact that they can leave their mate without claiming her as theirs and even have other males around her sometimes long enough to steal her away from them, and this after they'd completed the mating ritual sometimes.

The words hung in the air, thick with tension, as I bared my deepest insecurity to him. His arms encircled me, creating a cocoon of his potent scent, as he positioned his palms on either side of my head, their touch grounding me in his presence. The sound of his laborious breaths mingled with the scrape of his nails against the glass, igniting a primal response within me. Unconsciously, I exposed the vulnerable expanse of my neck, an instinctual response of a female to her Alpha mate.

Sleeping around with someone who not only betrayed the pack but also my friendship with her. I hated snapping at Frey, I hated when we argued because a big part of me always knew she was right but I never would want to agree that she was. “I’m sorry,” I muttered but I only heard her groan as a response. For the umpteenth time of having an argument with her, she was right. Again. Mating season had come, people who had not found or become mated to someone would have an opportunity to find their partner. This was the season the moon goddess blessed us with. And as for those who are already mated, they get an opportunity to bear children. Meaning, everyone who already has a mate would be sexuall

I ask since Tatiana seems to know about it. "Mating Season, Sierra, is a period of the year when your wolf and the human body go into ovulation, at the same time. The mating season is a time span of around a month in which a female can go into heat at any time. After the full moon in the next week, mating season will begin, so Lycidas wants to spend my first mating heat in our pack lands, in our own house, instead of a place where there are too many unmated males around. The smell of my heat would attract lots of unwanted attention," explains Caliana. I don't understand many things but get an idea about it.

This was the most ideal time to find partners and lovers and such because there was a myth that if a couple mated and marked each other during this time, then their bond would be stronger than the average couple. Most of the pack members used this time to go on dates and such, eager to find their missing halves. I remembered how much I fantasised about being with Baekalis during this season a few months ago. I had imagined that we would have sex with each other for the time, and then I would take out to dinner the day mating season started. And then, when we would return home, we would make love and would finally mark each other. Ew. It was kind of cringe now that I thought about it, but the
