*** (James POV) I ended up staying at the waterfall for the rest of the night, waiting until the sun came up in the morning to head home. I fell asleep a few times, but each time I did so, I woke up after a short time after having had a vivid and unforgettable nightmare. Each of the nightmares re-lived the secrets that were revealed by Dr. Miller, Joey, and Jessica last night. After Stephanie died, nightmares had become a regular part of my sleeping experience. However, the nightmares that I had last night felt very different.

his voice was calm yet sombre. “Nightmare as in a bad dream?” “Bad dreams were named after nightmares, Callista. They are spirits who torment dreamers, feeding off of the terror they create.” “And he works for your brother?” I turned to face him and looked into his eyes, making my mind up to confront him about everything that had been on my mind over the past few weeks. “Morpheus, you need to explain everything to me. You can’t leave me in the dark anymore, not when nightmares are attacking me and women wake up from a coma to tell me you’re in danger and need my help.”

It was another nightmare. ***

"Nooo!". I screamed again as I woke up sweating profusely. I just dreamed about how my parents were killed mercilessly by those monsters. I do not think that these nightmares will go away anytime soon but it is good that I'm having these nightmares because they will forever be a reminder of my deadly mission to hurt those that killed my parents in cold blood.

I said, brushing away strands of hair from my face. "Nightmares do not make wolves sound like they're dying. This…sounded as though you were fighting for your life. Tell me, what was it?" His expression stiffened as his brows pulled into a frown. I looked at him, but the look in his eyes told me he would not let this go. I sighed and shifted against the bed while he settled beside me. "Would you believe me if I told you some nightmares are memories?” Dominic's brows knitted together in confusion.

Her expression instantly changed. Wait... Isn't this.... The memory surfaced immediately. The Total Annihilation Mission. The same mission Darren had spoken about from his previous life. The mission where an entire team had been wiped out without leaving behind a single survivor. A cold chill ran down Ivy's spine. As the sounds of gunfire and monstrous growls echoed through the facility, she swallowed hard. "This really is that mission..."

There wasn't a single cloud in sight. It looked exactly like the day I first arrived in this world. "Mission failed. Initiating wipe-out protocol." The System's mechanical voice echoed in my mind. "In one hour, all traces of your identity will be wiped clean. Matteo Linari will be completely erased from this world."

I took a wary step back, then froze when I heard familiar voices. "I'm here to help, tiny human! Where's the monster?" "Ghost squad is here to fight!" "Baby, where are you? I'm here, so don't be scared! I'll protect you!" "Protecting humans is the duty of ghosts! Kill him!" "Slither in darkness! Scream in madness! Rip them apart! Devour! Eat them all!"
