Romans & histoires The Missions The Nightmares They're Finally Over

My Nightmare Natty's POV It was morning already and last night was a long night. I never knew he was that insatiable.I lot count as to how many times we did it. Thinking about it, I smiled. I looked over to him and smiled more. He was still sleeping like a baby. I tried standing up but I felt pain in my thighs. I tried again but I just groaned. My groaning woke him up,he was baffled and asked. "Baby are you alright..."he asked in a husky voice.

3111 now giggles and I smile, “See. What the three of you don’t understand yet is the freedom of being out here. Take the mission seriously but have fun.” “Fun? What’s that?” asks 3222. I can’t tell if he’s being sarcastic or not and I sigh. “We will go 5 more miles and then make camp. Then we will tell ghost stories around the campfire.” 3333 scoffs, “Ghost stories but ghosts aren’t real.” I laugh, “That is the entire point. It’s something fun you do on missions. It helps grow your bond as a team.” “Who says we want to grow our bond with you? You’re an outcast and the handlers hate you. The only reason they didn’t kill you is that you’re special.” 3333 makes air quotations.

I couldn't help but tsk, unable to argue anymore as I made my way into the building, holding the wall and railings for support. The moment I collapsed on the bed, I groaned, curling into a ball as my eyes drooped close. “You need to get ready for your next mission. Mission 003.” Buis started, but I was already falling asleep, so I could barely hear what else it had to say. After giving in to the fatigue and the darkness that surrounded me, I expected to have a long, dreamless sleep. But when I opened my eyes, I was standing at the edge of the cliff again, bitten, bruised, and on the brink of death.

His men needed time to decompress and sort through what they see and witness each mission. Some of the stuff they see would give you nightmares. But they were trying to change that. One mission at a time.

[Welcome to Eternal Nightmare. Survival is victory.] The cold, robotic female voice blasted through the dark while I was sprawled on the couch doomscrolling. The next second, a white flash nuked my vision and forced my eyes shut. When I opened them again, my living room had straight-up rage quit and turned into a blood-red wasteland. "Okay, what the hell?" I squinted and spotted my six-foot-two husband, Adrian Chase, already doing the whole protective-dad thing with one arm around our son.

“That’s because I’ve been reborn, too. You and Cassie killed me in the previous life, and this time, you’re both paying for it.” “What? So it was all you? I’m going to kill you!” Cole screamed hysterically through the prison bars, but it was useless. Not long after I left, he broke down and smashed his head against the wall, ending his own life. With his death, my nightmare from the previous life finally came to an end. From that point on, every day was a new beginning. [The End]

More tears flow down. “It's not what you think, Father. I promise I can explain-” I yelled aloud, watching the door slam in my face. But I don’t give up. I was kicking as I struggled to get down. However, their grips are too strong. Heads turned towards me as they carried me out. Their questioning eyes. Their hateful gazes. They're moving lips as they formed like they were the holiest. I couldn't understand why Father was doing this to me. It was either as a punishment or…

Then, say goodbye to your daughter. Hearing someone shout my name, I wake from the nightmare. My body covered in a sheen of sweat chills running down my spine I find Cade holding my shoulders, worry shining bright in his eyes. “You still have the nightmare?” Cade - my best friend, the first person to welcome me into the agency. He’s a captain, a pilot in this agency. He snaps his fingers in front of my face, “Earth to Hira!” “Yes, they won’t leave,” I croaked out, my voice hoarse.

He returned his attention to his body, the scratch on his chest that would never fade. "Babe! I'm leaving now; I'll see you later," he heard the woman say in his room. He didn't say anything; instead, he rolled his eyes and proceeded to shower. ------ Jodie awoke in her bed at seven o'clock in the morning.
