It was almost midnight, and the moon was covered by clouds slowly showing. The alpha’s jurisdiction was chanting, howling, and chirping. Drake maintained his cold aura and expression while looking at the moon. A few moments later, the moon appeared, and its color was crimson red. His people howled and manifested. The Beta called their attention, and Drake poured a drink into his glass, holding Emily’s waist as her eyes went wide.

What was there to check anyways. I don't have time for news and all. "Look, " he said switching the news channel on the TV. I guessed, her attempts of being nice to me paid off well—she officially became Nathan’s girlfriend at the very night they visited the spring. I heard Nathan told my mom about the night the pack went to bail on the Full Moon celebration to go to the spring and proved the fairy tales about Moon Goddess. He swore he didn’t hear any of my howling that time because they were trying to make an offering so the Moon Goddess would appear before them. However, while the Goddess didn’t appear, Selene was convinced that Nathan was her mate.

Alpha Romero nodded before rounding his arms around his wife’s waist. “She’s really a moon goddess…” “I had my doubts before…” “But the moon…” It was an awestrucking moment when Amira raised her hand over Morgan’s head. The play was ridiculous and cheesy and absolutely wonderful. The story was about the Sun God and Moon Goddess falling in love but being forced to stay apart, one ruling the day, the other the night. They could only meet during eclipses, brief moments when they could touch before being separated again. Kael threw himself into the role completely, declaring his love for me in dramatic speeches that made the crowd swoon. I was supposed to be shy and ethereal, responding with gentle words about eternal devotion. “Oh, my beloved Sun God!” I said, trying not to laugh at how over-the-top it all was. “Though we are destined to be apart, my love for you burns as bright as the stars!”

I dropped my gaze instantly and asked before chewing onto my lips, "Anything else I can get you, s-sir?" "No, sweetheart." He darkly chuckled. Just as I was about to walk off this uncomfortable scene, I felt a burn on my skin. The moonlight had escaped the drapes of the clouds finally and it was lighting up the terrace with its own enigma. But why burn? Isn't the moon an epitome of cool and calm? I shrieked when I realised the burn that was flaming on my skin was actually, under my skin. With a clatter, the champagne glasses on the tray shattered on the floor. Luckily, the sound of music drowned it out but didn't stop the fact it poured all down the back of someone.
