It felt like time was passing at an exaggeratedly slow pace, and the more I stayed in the room, the smaller the space felt. I was extremely bored, but I was lucky to have some books in the room. She picked up the last book which was actually a journal and tucked in its side were plack pencils with bookish scribbles on them.

The books on the shelf were neatly arranged but the frayed edges and the little tears on the bottom of most of the books gave out that they’d been read a couple times.
