When she was finished, I put the bottle on the counter and walked into the living room, where we had Nightingale's playpen. I fixed Nightingale by my shoulder and began to pat her back. After she let out a strong burp, I slowly rocked back and forth, almost putting myself to sleep. Once I heard Nightingale's soft snores, I put her down in her playpen and lay on the couch. It didn't take long for me to fall asleep

She wasn't prepared for his blunt remark, the unexpected sharpness of his words. "For a woman, I must say that you have a bitter taste," Nyx continued, his voice low and menacing. "And it seems that your taste in books is equally bitter," he added, his eyes shifting to the copy of "Crime and Punishment" that lay on her desk. "it looked like you brought ages ago as if it was your mother's." Nyx voiced gain making her face sad for a second, it was her mother's. Nyx was not a dump man to not notice the old print book, he knew the book as much as he knew about the writer. Athena felt a surge of unease and vulnerability wash over her.

The bedroom had its own bathroom. Ambert went straight to the table at the dining area and sat at one of the two vacant chairs there. He put out his cell phone from his jacket and carefully laid it on the table while Nancy put her bag down on the sofa and walked towards the windows. “You’re not lying when you said your room has a magnificent view,” she said as she absorbed the scenery below: one of the biggest malls in the country located beside the sea. The chaos of different lights coming from the mall contrasted with the monochromatic sea. The stillness of the yachts and boats anchored at the sea juxtaposed the hustle and bustle of people in the mall. It was like a giant Yin and Yang.
