The moon was up shining down through the branches of the trees, making everything look so unreal…magical. I walked ahead, not knowing where I was going as I pushed at the low branches of two willow trees and saw I was on a cliff. Walking towards the edge of the cliff, I could see the ocean as the waves were calm, illuminated by the moonlight. It felt like it spoke to me, wanting me to dive in and be free. Sitting down at the edge of the cliff, watching in peace at the ocean, feeling the soft wind caressing my cheeks, I closed my eyes and enjoyed this moment alone.

Liz said looking at her lap. “Really? Go ahead and tell me. I’ve been around for a while now, so not many things surprise me.” He said causing us to look up and see the smile on his face. “Ok here goes.” I said shyly. “Last night Liz and I both had the same dream. Well nightmare is more like it. It scared us enough that Liz stayed with me in my room. When we both fell asleep the Moon Goddess took us to her realm.” Alpha James gasped. “What?”

She turns to face me, her gaze lingering on mine. “I mean, at night, you’d have the stars and the moon, sure, but you wouldn’t get this. The sea in the daylight is... alive. It’s not the same.” I chuckle, setting my plate down on the table and gesturing for her to join me. “You’ve got a point. Nighttime is all about the mystery and quiet, but this—” I motion toward the horizon, where the sky seems to melt into the ocean. “This is pure energy. Vibrancy.”

There were no islands, boats, or any other sign of life. I looked down. I was standing barefoot on the surface of the water. I didn't dare to move. I was scared of falling.

I started walking, the wet sand sinking slightly underfoot as I made my way closer to the water's edge. “Blue,” a voice called, cutting the quietness. I turned to see who called my name and saw Mary walking towards me. “Hi, Mary,” I greeted, a bit confused as to why she was here. "I did not know you were a beach kind of person."
