Not even a blanket was available. As her phone was with Sally, she was unaware of the time. The entire two-story old house was pitch-black. When the wind blew and consequently slammed the door and windows, an eerie sound could be heard. Catherine nearly went insane. Curling up on the cool bed, she did not dare to move at all. She was afraid of the dark. She was really afraid. As soon as she noticed that the window was opened, she ran there. An old lady placed a bowl of rice through the window.

It was the same house I grew up in but somehow it seemed colder, more frightening than usual. I was in my upstairs bedroom cowering under my favorite Bratz duvet while I listened frightfully to the heavy footsteps ascending the stairs, intent on my room. A glimmer of dim light shone from the sidelines of the window curtains of an elongated house. This two-story building made entirely of wood is quite large. It was able to accommodate many people, but no one would want to live here. Look at here! This house was worse than a dog kennel. The front door looked old and difficult to close properly without a stone wedge, the walls were cracked almost all over the building, as was the roof with holes in it.
