Shadows of Bloodlust

Shadows of Bloodlust

Alex asked. "Well, that's the interesting thing. The articles give several explanations for the phenomenon. Some say that the tunnel is a secret portal that can connect two different cities. It can only be activated by certain people with special powers. Alex. The portal was created by a secret organisation that wanted to control both cities. Some say the tunnel was a failed scientific experiment that caused a distortion of space and time within. When we entered the tunnel, we didn't realise that we had crossed a wormhole that took us to another city in an instant. The tunnel is very dangerous and unstable and could collapse at any time. But there are those who say that the tunnel is a secre

Moon Kissed Mates

Moon Kissed Mates

After what seemed like forever Alexandra pointed to the tunnels that lead down and I knew we had to be in the right place. We began to descend in the tunnel that led in the direction of the building. The tunnel had seen better days. The walls were held up by four by fours but most of them were beginning to crack and water seeped from the walls as erosion must have set in over the years. The smell of rotten eggs began to fill the air and I knew this wasn’t good but we continued to walk and then finally we came to an old metal door. I tried to open it, but it was either locked or rusted shut. Alexandra placed her hands on the door handle and chanted a spell and then the door began to budge a b

The Cold Compromise

The Cold Compromise

“Then we keep going. Follow the incline.” The tunnel stretched ahead like a vein carved through the underbelly of the city—twisting, splitting, disappearing into darkness. Each junction was a guess, each guess an act of faith. They had no light, no proper map, no certainty—only the rough coordinates from the stolen USB drive and the fast-dimming strength of two fugitives crawling beneath the wealthiest coastline in France. Then the sound hit them. A violent metallic roar shuddered through the tunnel, rattling the water around their knees. It rolled overhead as thunder dragged across steel.

The Secret Door

The Secret Door

She closes her eyes and charges into the open doorway. Van and the rest are expecting nothing but darkness. To their surprise, they are now in a spacious hallway, more like an old-fashioned tunnel. Unlike the dingy hallway where they came from, the tunnel lacks dirty floor and cobwebs. The walls and the arched ceiling are made of large slabs of granite. “I didn’t know there is a place like this in school,” Van said, eyes gazing blankly at the ceiling. “I don’t think we’re still in school.” “You’re right Cara, the school can’t hold something as vast as this,” Alice replied. This tunnel is a long one, so long that it simply stretches into the darkness.

Alpha Nocturne's Contracted Mate

Alpha Nocturne's Contracted Mate

Greyson cracked a small smile that matched Lexi's and they began to walk towards her father who had re-entered the makeshift camp, bringing the two mimics with him. After grabbing a quick bite to eat and refilling their water bottles, they gathered in the hastily erected command tent and listened carefully to what the mimic scouts had to say. "The tunnel's really aren't as complex as some of the structures that we've seen before, but they are busy on the inside in all of the branches," one of the Mimic's explained patiently, "If you can imagine an ant hill…it's very much the same."

How can this book be on the top read when the author stopped updating months ago. Author should pay penalties when they don’t keep updates consistent. I would give it a 1 star but you won’t see my review. Do t bother reading is hasn’t been updated for over 8 months.

The pocket

The pocket

That thought, that weight, became his anchor, steadying him against the tide of fear. He reached out, his hands brushing against the cold, damp walls of the tunnel. The texture was uneven, a mix of smooth rock and jagged protrusions that scraped against his gloves. He imagined the untold stories etched into these walls, the silent witnesses to countless journeys, countless hopes, countless failures. He was just one more traveler, adding his own story to this silent chronicle of human endeavor.

LUNAR BONDS

LUNAR BONDS

She gestured for Amelia to follow as she squeezed through the narrow opening, leading them into a dimly lit tunnel. They navigated the underground passage, its walls closing in on them. Every step was a test of endurance, but they pressed on, their goal driving them forward. Their movements were swift, their hearts pounding with a mix of fear and determination. Finally, they emerged from the tunnel, lungs gasping for air as they found themselves in a secret underground chamber. It was a space adorned with ancient artifacts, an abandoned sanctuary where the power of the Moonstone had once been protected.

The Lone Wolf

The Lone Wolf

“So we remember this moment. This is real. Us. Right now. Four of us. Alive. Together. Whatever happens past that is a lie.” She held out her hand. One by one, they placed theirs atop it. And then they stepped forward. They chose the fourth tunnel. Not because it looked different from the rest. Each appeared equally ominous, equally false, but because it curved downward. And downward, they reasoned, meant trapped. And trapped would be what the others were. The air grew thinner as they walked. The walls began to breathe, gently at first, then more insistently—expanding and contracting with moist, slow exhalations. The floor pulsed under their boots like a heartbeat.

Nightmare

Nightmare

Natalie grabs my hand and glances towards the pile of bones. “We will have time to talk later, but right now we have to go, we are running out of time.” She says. I nod my head in understanding and grip her hand even tighter and she returns the gesture. We crawl through the tunnel side by side; the tunnel is quite dark and smells really bad which I am guessing is because of the rotting dead bodies that are at the end of the tunnel. The tunnel feels like it goes forever just because I really want to talk to her.

Alpha of the Deadly Arena

“Like rust... and something rotting.” “This tunnel’s been abandoned for a long time,” Fredrick says quietly. His flashlight points toward the cracked concrete floor. “Looks like an old evacuation route. At least we’re safe from the rain.” “Safe?” Damian scoffs hoarsely. “We have no idea what’s waiting at the end of this tunnel, Chief. It could be a shortcut straight to hell.” “Quit talking and keep moving, Damian,” Kael growls. I tighten my arms around Kael’s neck, feeling guilty as I stare at the reddened skin on his shoulder so close to my face.
