The Day I Walked Away

The Day I Walked Away

As for the woman left behind… she wanted us to have our fun with her before stripping her naked and dumping her on the street. His entire body trembled as he spoke. Neither Brandon nor the men behind him could believe it. Hannah had been the mastermind of the kidnapping farce. Brandon shook his head in agony. "Even Hannah was certain I'd choose her. How devastated must Eleanor have been the moment I left her behind?" He dropped to the edge of the cliff, staring into the endless abyss below. "Eleanor! Eleanor!" His voice grew hoarse from his screaming. One of his friends lowered his head in guilt, no doubt remembering how cruel they had all been to me.

The Day Privilege Backfired

The Day Privilege Backfired

"Dad, I'm sorry for what happened today. Your identity got exposed… I'm really sorry." He chuckled and patted my hand. There wasn't a trace of blame in his voice as he chided gently, "Silly girl. I'll always have your back when you need it. How could I ever blame you for standing up for yourself?" A breeze brushed past, lifting my hair and the anger that had been weighing on my chest. … I later heard that Nigel had gone bankrupt and left Saltmere to return to the countryside. Apparently, he was now the hick Arlo had so despised.

The Day He Lost Me

The Day He Lost Me

Like when he gave away the healing potion I'd fought so hard to get—to Mia, because she had a tiny scratch on her finger. Meanwhile, I'd fallen down a slope and had no healing potion of my own, so I spent three months stuck in bed. He'd called all of that "acting out." Fine. Then I'd stop acting out. I straightened my spine. Stumbled, but kept walking. Left the camp behind. When I was finally outside the training camp gates, I reached out through the mind-link, calling for my father. "Dad," I said, my voice steady. "I want to come home to Healer's Hollow."

The Only Way Is Up

The Only Way Is Up

She opted to drive all the way rather than fly, adding as much as thirteen to fifteen hours to her journey. Maddison was positive she could cut it down to ten if she put the pedal to the metal. The SUV she hired for the trip was certainly capable of doing the job. Her day-to-day vehicle, a convertible, was in the garage undergoing servicing and would only be ready by Sunday for pickup. Embrace the journey, not just the destination.

The Day I Lost My Way Back

The Day I Lost My Way Back

He was the one who had pushed me away with his own hands, and in the end, he had pushed me into the arms of someone who could actually make me happy. He looked at me one last time, his gaze filled with regret and reluctance. Then he turned and slowly walked away. The setting sun stretched his shadow long across the ground, making him look like a soul stranded between the past and the present, unable to return to either. Later, I found out that he had shut down his company and donated all his assets before heading alone to a remote mountain village to teach. After that, I heard nothing more about him. As for me, with the love of my parents and Elliot surrounding me, I slowly healed.

The Endgame Chronicles

The Endgame Chronicles(The Apocalyptic Queen Theresa)(Supreme Survivor In The Zombie Apocalypse)

Only Colin had the nerve to come over. Hayley snorted. "What do we do? We find another way out." "But there's only one path here!" someone from Josh's group called out. Hayley looked at them like they were idiots. So this was why they had gotten trapped. Those people couldn't think their way out of a box. "No path doesn't mean no way." If there's an obstacle, you carve through it. If there's a gap, you find a way across. That was how Hayley operated.

This is by far and beyond the best book I've read in a long time! It kept me so engaged that I had a lot of sleepless nights and I had to force myself to put it down. If it was in book form, I would buy it in a heartbeat! Thank you Hugh White for writing and publishing this book. it's the story of a

Worth the read, well written and has a decent plot. The characters generally have a lot of depth, although one or two have been a little strange, maybe written that way on purpose. The FMC sometimes feels a little too cold, and vengeful, but again part of her character... I will continue reading!

they whispered. Nate swiped his arm across the desk, sending a porcelain vase shattering to the floor. His assistant rushed in, trying to calm him. "Mr. Davidson, that was your favorite antique…" But Nate didn't care. He grabbed the assistant by the throat. "What good are you? You can't even find one person! If she's not found soon, you'll end up just like that vase!" The assistant looked into Nate's bloodshot eyes—and finally understood just how far his fury went.

The Way We Were

The Way We Were

After the cast was applied, I was able to move around. Timothy and Christopher never came back to my room. They even pulled the nurses away, waiting for me to surrender. A bitter smile touched my lips as I rescheduled my flight for the next afternoon. Even with my arm in a thick cast, I boarded the plane without looking back. The next day, a trending headline appeared on the news. The Sanford and Kingsley families had announced a marriage union between them. The wedding of the century would take place in a month. - My parents looked at me with concern, along with my biological brother, Hayden Kingsley. Their gazes seemed to bore a hole through my right hand.

The Day She Chose Someone Else

The Day She Chose Someone Else

"She ran out of the apartment in her pajamas, tried to cross the street, and bam—got hit by a car. That’s how her leg got messed up." I let out a cold laugh. "And she’s still with Benedict?" Simon scoffed. "You still don’t get it, do you? What else has she got now? "Her degree’s trash, she’s got no skills, and now one of her legs barely works. Even her parents have disowned her. "Sticking with the Caspers is her only meal ticket. Out on her own, she'd be sleeping under a bridge." I said nothing. After the reunion ended, Ella stopped me at the entrance.
