His eyes were wide, bright with worry, his chest heaving as if he had run a mile to get here. Before I could ask any other questions, hurried footsteps echoed down the hallway. The bedroom door swung open, and three figures entered in swift succession: Lucen, the alpha I was bound to by contract; the pack doctor, a thin man with silver spectacles perched on the bridge of his nose; and finally Alpha Osen, whose presence always commanded a room. The doctor moved straight to my bedside, his hands deft as he checked my pulse and pressed a cool palm to my forehead. “How do you feel?” he asked, voice calm, clinical.

’ As I grasped the doorknob, poised to enter the room, I abruptly halted upon witnessing a startling sight. The physician of The Pack, whom I had summoned to my fortress, was seated upon the bed, intently gazing at my captive. With a gentle gesture, he extended his hand towards 0315's countenance, tenderly caressing her cheek and tucking her hair behind her ear. My eyes ignited with an inferno-like intensity, akin to a blazing sphere of fervent flames, while my lupine essence bellowed within. How dare a mere Pack’s Doctor touch my possession!

Hannah The doctor looked like he was about to be sick when he turned to face us. His skin had gone pale, his eyes wide as saucers, his face drawn as if he’d just seen a ghost. “Kill us?” I sat up a little more with some effort, my arms trembling beneath my weight. Viona moved to support me, but I waved her away. “Who? Marcus?” Doctor Patel looked back and forth between all of us. His mouth kept opening and closing like a fish out of water.
