I stared at Lilian one more time before putting the car in reverse and speeding out of the manor. "Dr. Taylor..." I nodded at the elderly doctor whose office was crowded by us. "We need your help." I carried Lilian forward and placed her on the table. Dr. Taylor's expression was passive as she gave Lilian a once-over before standing up from her seat. Dr. Taylor was a supernatural doctor that worked in the human world. I had saved her life quite a few times and she swore her undying loyalty to me. I knew I could trust her with Lilian's life... more than I could even trust myself.

The other man answered, firmly shaking hands with the doctor. Doctor Lockehart released Evander's hand and took a step back, smiling politely at both of them. He tucked the clipboard underneath his armpit and motioned with his hand for the couple to follow him. "Right this way," he instructed, before spinning on his heels and walking back through the double doors. They followed after the doctor all the way to the end of the hallway and stopped in front of a door with a black name badge hanging up on it. The name read, Patrick Lockehart. He opened up the door and waved his arm out, allowing them to walk in first.

The way her smile escaped, tucked in the crook of his arm. Phillipe’s purple eyes remained fixed on me as he paced. /He doesn’t trust us, are we overplaying this pity thing?/ Livi panicked. Thankfully Beta Patrick appeared hauling a terrified looking older gentleman towards me. “The Doctor is here. DO NOT GO NEAR THE ALPHA!” he bellowed.
