Wycliffe Empire: The Conqueror's Mate

Wycliffe Empire: The Conqueror's Mate

I curled my hand into a fist until my knuckles turned white and punched the stony ground as hard as I could, releasing all the frustrations and shame I feel while I hear Laurent’s agonizing screams as the healer corrects the position of his bones before his body completely heals. I remained in that spot until I no longer heard Laurent’s screams and his pleading to just end his life. I have been into so many battles and I understand the feeling of that kind of agony as someone had to perform surgery on you and correct the position of your bones while your muscle tissues are in the process of regenerating. Painkillers are not powerful enough to numb that level of pain and so, it must be a huge

she shares with the group quietly. Everyone is intensely listening to Jenna as they are curious how the healing works. “If I healed you, then you would have felt warmth and a sense of peace come over your body. For me I absorb your pain or injury. If you have a broken arm, I have a broken arm. If you have a cut, I have that same injury although you may not see the blood. I then need time to heal myself, which can take hours or days depending on the severity of the injury.

Guys! Read this story!!! All of Ellie’s stories are amazing! They pull you in, they’re well written and they have characters that you both love and love to hate. You can’t go wrong with this story, or any of them really!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I’ve read 5 other books by this author and this is my favorite. Her writing pulls you in. The characters will frustrate you, make you laugh and cry. The plot is full of surprises and suspense, redemption and healing. Highly recommend. Read Healing Powers first.

Love and pain

Love and pain

Back in the drainage tunnel, freezing water surged around everyone violently. The tunnel sloped downward beneath the city at terrifying speed. Daniel grabbed a side railing immediately. “I would like less near-death experiences after this.” Ariana looked toward Oliver quietly while helping stabilize him against the current. “You okay?” Oliver looked at her honestly for a second. “No.” Another pause. “But better than before.” The answer surprised both of them slightly. Because it was true. The guilt wasn’t gone. The trauma wasn’t magically healed. But something changed tonight. For years—

A Kiss For Every Bruise

A Kiss For Every Bruise

Adrian stood near the window, gaze distant, fists loosely at his sides, as if he were holding back a storm that wanted to spill over. Doctor Liang’s voice broke the tension, calm and unwavering. “Healing is not a straight path,” he said, walking slowly between us, hands clasped behind his back. “Both of you have endured wounds that time alone cannot erase. Pain and trauma… anger and guilt… they need tending. But they can be tended, if you allow it.”

One Year with the Mafia Boss

One Year with the Mafia Boss

The woman I want, the woman I need, the woman I crave so desperately. "I am smiling," I say softly, my voice muffled against her shoulder. "Not because you are crying over my sad story, but because it feels like a dream right now. I am still in pain, Grandma. The pain has never really gone away. But it is not as bad as it used to be. I am healing. I am finally starting to heal."

Four Alphas One Revenge

Four Alphas One Revenge

“Why do humans fear evolution while simultaneously longing for healing?” The ancient consciousness answered softly before anyone else could. “Because healing requires mourning the people we used to be.” The words broke something open inside me. Because readers understood that too. Sometimes growth hurts because you have to grieve old identities to become healthier ones. The network glowed softly now. Not stable yet. But listening. Feeling. Trying. And maybe trying mattered more than perfection. The pain-entity drifted closer beside us quietly. Smaller now. Gentler. Its voice trembled softly.

And in that small, painful choice, he proved once again that he was still trying to keep the promise he had broken so badly. The healing was slow. Painfully slow. But it was still moving forward. One honest conversation. One deleted reply. One tear at a time.

 TIME DOESN'T HEAL ALL WOUNDS

TIME DOESN'T HEAL ALL WOUNDS

I didn’t know whether he wanted to kill me or beg for my forgiveness again. He quickly said, “I just came to say I am sorry for everything! I still love you! I know the failure of our marriage was my fault, all mine! My first girlfriend killed herself due to family drama! I had always blamed myself, even those I was only a kid…myself in high school! So, when your sister started talking about killing herself. I wanted desperately to fix everything! I overlooked so many signs that they weren’t sincere in their intentions to the point it put you in danger! I just want another chance! Please let me prove I really am a good man. The man you fell in love with all those years ago!” “Have you been f

His Forbidden Truth

His Forbidden Truth

She pulls me close, slipping her arms around my waist. “You fought so hard to survive,” she whispers, “but now it’s time to live.” I press my forehead to hers. “I don’t know how yet.” She kisses me softly. “Then let’s learn together.” And in her arms, I feel it—the fragile, tentative bloom of something I thought I’d lost forever. Hope. --- There’s still pain. I won’t pretend there isn’t. Some nights I wake in tears, haunted by the faces I couldn’t save. Some mornings I see my reflection and barely recognize the woman staring back. But healing isn’t clean. It’s jagged and slow.

ECHOES OF THE PAST

ECHOES OF THE PAST

"I thought if I took enough pain away from other people, eventually I'd figure out how to take my own pain away." "But it doesn't work like that." "No. It just makes me carry everyone's pain instead of just my own." Sarah was crying, holding her son's hand. Marcus had his arm around her, both of them visibly shaken. "Can you teach him?" Marcus asked. "Not just how to control the healing, but how to live with being someone who feels everyone's pain?" I looked at Jamie, at this seven year old boy who'd nearly died trying to fix my chronic pain because he couldn't help himself.
