Reckless Renegades Lug Nut and Ailee's Story

Reckless Renegades Lug Nut and Ailee's Story

As soon as she sees it she grabs at it. Finn waits patiently for her to grab it before he lets go. Katrina smiles and shoves a corner into her mouth gnawing on it. Ailee looks up “ Finn. What are you doing? The book said soft food.” Ailee jumps up to take it from Katrina when Finn places his hand on Ailee’s shoulder. “ Ailee, you forget I have been with you since the day you were born. These books you are trying to speed read is a great idea. It is just an idea. Not a rule. You learn things along the way. You learn from people who have been there before.” Finn said. He points to Katrina who is still gumming the toast as happy as she can be. “ As you can see she is doing just fine. I saw she

This was another fantastic story in this series that is absolutely worth a read!! Well written, flowed well, beautiful character progressions. Definitely had some areas of heightened emotions but also some beautiful moments too. Nicely done author! Absolutely cannot wait for Vipers story! :)

The C.E.O's Weakness

The C.E.O's Weakness

The news filled me with cautious hope. I went back to the ward, kissed Mum goodbye, and promised I’d return tomorrow. She protested as usual, but it was futile. I would be here — no matter what. On my way back, I spotted a small roadside thrift book stall. The colorful covers drew me in. As I browsed through the shelves, bumping gently into other customers, a green book caught my eye. The cover was filled with beautiful pastries. Bake Like a Pro: A Beginner’s Guide to Making Homemade Specials. I flipped through the pages, scanning the headings. It looked solid. I counted a few bucks and handed them to the old trader.

The Pains of Guilt (WTAH series book 2)

The Pains of Guilt (WTAH series book 2)

“It’s a complicated story. I…” “Actually, forget it. I’d rather not know. You telling me would mean getting involved in your business and that would, according to fair trade, give you the right to get involved in mine. And I definitely don’t want that.” So much for that. “Anyway, how many times was it?” She asked. “What?” “How many times did she make you read the same book?” “Enough to lose count.” “What about feeding?” “It was...something. Is the picky eating part of sensory issues or…”

Whole Again

Whole Again

It pained me to see my friend hurting herself like that, but I’m so thrilled to see her getting better. It's taken a lot of time, but her relationship with food has gotten so much better. While she was in recovery, she created a jar where she wrote down food items and placed them in the jar. She called it her dream food jar. Things she hoped she’d one day be strong enough to eat. When she was ready, she’d invite me over, and she’d randomly pick something from the jar. We’d then go and get her that item and she would take the brave step of trying to at least take a bite. The first thing she ate was a doughnut. She managed to eat the entire thing, but it was very emotional. She cried the whole

The One He Didn't Save

The One He Didn't Save

Not gonna lie—there was a tiny flicker of satisfaction. Back when he started working, his picky eating got worse. I'd bent over backwards—hired the city's top nutritionist, tested recipes nonstop. I was up before sunrise hitting the market, hunting down the freshest stuff you couldn't find at any fancy store. Eventually, I got him eating like a human again. Lucinda clocked his barely touched plate and frowned. "Maverick, really? You can't eat? Stella knows you'll only eat her cooking, yet she's still off doing who knows what."

Sweet Hole

Sweet Hole

I wore a pair of shorts. When breakfast was ready she joined me at the table and ate like she had never eaten before. Toast, butter and jam, an omelet with chunks of ham, bell pepper, green onions, mushrooms and cheese in it and hot strong coffee with just a little chicory in it. All of it disappeared into her. She didn't ask for one of those flavored additives for the coffee. After she ate she wandered around the cabin a little. She looked over the book shelves and picked a book called "Consequences: Intended and Unintended" By Nick Peterson. She thumbed into the book and read a page.

Fake Vow, True Luna

Fake Vow, True Luna

It was titled ‘100 Recipes for Expecting Mothers’ and had an illustration of a pregnant woman on the front. “What’s this?” I asked, furrowing my brow even further as I took the book and began to flip through it. Nathan’s smile grew. “I picked it up a couple of days ago,” he said. “I wanted to cook some really nutritious meals for you. This meal in particular that I’m making right now has all of the major food groups, and plenty of vitamins and minerals for you. It’s the perfect diet.” “Diet?” I leaned against the kitchen counter, eyeing him curiously. “Really now? And since when did you become a nutritionist?”

The Mafia Boss Surrogate

The Mafia Boss Surrogate

I drink my water again while trying to prevent my eyes from looking at that food because it smell gross to me. "Are you alright?" He asked. I nodded, "Yeah. I am. Why?" "You look uncomfortable. Are you sure you are not going to replace that food?" He pointed out the food in my plate. I swallowed and took a quick bite, even though I wanted to vomit and hurried to the bathroom. I chew the food slowly while trying not to spit it out and rush to the restroom, but I failed. I bolts to the ladies restroom and throw up. He definitely wondering what the hell is going on to me, especially since this is my first time being a picky eater. It wasn't me, actually. It's my child.
