Confused, I stretched out my hand and took it. The fabric was soft against my fingers, familiar.
“This is your shirt,” I said, recognizing it instantly. It was the same one he’d been wearing before—deep burgundy, crisp, carrying his scent.
He glanced up briefly, gave a small nod, and returned his gaze to his phone, his expression unreadable.
“Why are you giving me your shirt?” I asked, searching for his eyes.
