Don't let anyone, including yourself, convince you that you don't deserve to use it." After she left, I stared at the closed door for a long time. Power. The word felt foreign on my tongue, like speaking a language I'd never learned. For six years, I'd been powerless, at the mercy of pack politics, cruel gossip, and the Williams brothers' whims. Now, apparently, I was the Goddess's chosen one, wielding magic that could break ancient blood contracts and make Alpha heirs tremble.

I set the heavy books on his desk with a thud. "Sit down, Thorne." "I don't want to sit down. My sons are in danger and-" "Sit down!" I demanded, using the Alpha voice that I rarely needed anymore. He sat, his eyes wide with surprise. I opened the first book to the page that had nearly given me a heart attack. "The prophecy is real," I said. "And it's not just about a Luna with three mates." I began to translate the ancient words, my voice getting quieter with each line.

⸻ 🌙 The Forgotten Prophecy The Book of Origins suddenly opened. Its final pages began rewriting themselves. ⚡ Words appeared. Then vanished. Then reappeared. ⸻ A prophecy hidden from everyone. ⸻ When Balance chooses Humanity… The Throne shall break. The Future shall become unknowable. ⸻ 😱 ⸻ The Father’s face turned pale. ⸻ Because that wasn’t supposed to happen. ⸻ The future had always been visible. Predictable. Controlled. ⸻ Not anymore. ⸻

This meant I usually got scraps, burnt, unwanted portions, or most times, no food at all. And all this ill, unfair treatment stemmed from an ancient prophecy of the Nightveil pack. This prophecy had changed my life for the worse, and so I had it etched in my brain. I closed my eyes. Even now I could see every word of that prophecy written in an old book with yellowed pages which I had read obsessively over and over again, as though by doing so I could change what was written in it.

There was a balcony straight through with a rocking chair and a thick blanket draped over the back of it. This will take me forever! Sighing, I started on the left and will work my way around. I soon noticed that they were organized in categories. Surely, prophesies will be under history so I made my way to the history section. I found four books, Prophesy of the 1900’s, Where do Prophesies Come From and What are They?, Are Prophesies Real, and Understanding Prophesies. Looking at the couch, I grabbed the ottoman and pulled it up next to the left side of the couch and made myself comfy. I will probably be here awhile.

What was she doing in Deruse?" Alexi opened the passenger seat door and pulled out a book. "I believe she wanted to acquire this." "What is that?" I look at the old book in her hands. "The Prophecy. The Book of the Dragons. Come inside." She walks us all into the conference room.

Plus, I wanted the time with her…we had a lot to figure out between us on top of the whole prophecy and gifted wolf thing… I turned down the radio “So, Caleb mentioned something about a prophecy.” She was pulled from her thoughts. “Huh?
