The Red Fairy Book Novels & Stories

"Are you sure of this testimony, Lord Ducroft? Because I happen to chance on several of your books and there are extensive methods on how to capture a fairy, how to perform a ritual with parts of a fairy and why fairies are the best diet for dragons. There are other pieces of evidence I have. Do you still wish to deny it?" "Lady Madaline, those books were published thousands of years ago." "And thankfully, they are evidence today. I couldn't be happier to get my hands on these books. So, which will it be? A civil fight or a martial fight?" While they contested in front of his palace, the fairy zipped through the palace, slipping through formations meant to confuse intruders and finally findi

Sorry for not introducing myself earlier on. You can call me “The Diwata”. It’s our local term for a Fairy Enchantress. Try to imagine me as a full-grown woman, but I’m actually a Fairy. So no, I do not look anything like Disney’s Tinkerbell. I will be your storyteller in all the stories in the book. And just like everything you read here, it’s up to you to decide which is real, and which is not…

Edgar gets like this sometimes and only I, being his mate, can calm him down. “Nathan, I am sorry this fight has come to your land. But we are all here to help Jo.” Anabelle, Kristopher, and a red-haired girl walked into the room. “Is she the one that can help me?” the redhead asked Frederick while pointing at me. “Merida, this is Evangeline. She will help you. But the spell will take a few days.” He says, while giving me a look that tells me I will do as he says. Merida pulled something from around her neck. Telling me she needs a ‘calling spell’.

“Like I said, I’m a fairy. We know things.” I turned to Zevarion. He gave a small nod, his expression unreadable. “Okay,” I said softly. “We’re ready.” “Great,” she said, clapping her hands. “First, I’ll shift and then send you both through.” I opened the living book, the leather warm and pulsing under my fingers. She laid a glowing palm on the page. Instantly, her form shimmered and shrank until she became a bright, glimmering fairy once more.

Cautiously she picked the book up, ‘Rules For Immortals’ She read out loud and sat in the chair opening the first page she began to read and was soon engrossed. In the shadows her Mother watched her eyes soft with love, ‘With eighteen years Your time is come Enchantress rise Thy powers hard won Girl to woman Memories held deep The locket will open No tears to weep The spell now broken All locks are open Find your Beast Beauty Love’s kiss your only duty’

He has been waiting for my return since he became surprisingly attached to me. “Where are we?” Heron asked, and vetted the unfamiliar realm. Soaking in the novelty of it. “This is Dusky Dew Meadows,” I muttered and bit my lip. He might order me to return him to the pack if he did not like being here with me. Here, the colors were brighter and sharper. Everything in the human realm existed here as well. The fairy houses were red and white toadstools, made of jasper, while the colossal rose-quartz castle with eight tall towers of the Fairy Queen Katinka resided to the west.

"You would be right about that." I blink when a red-haired female fairy flies up from the hole. There are yellow sparkles around the fairy, and she is wearing a blue dress. It makes her look like royalty. She is beautiful too: long hair and bright blue eyes. Seriously, the fairy looks like Bloom from Winx Club. "Good morning, Celina," Olivia says. "Hello, Olivia," Celina lands in front of me and blinks at me with curious, prying eyes. "I don't think I need to ask what you need from us today. You want us to take care of this one, yes?"

“We are dragon fairies. Simply put, we are the blood cells of the dragon whose blood was used to forge this Katana. We always remained together as the blade of the Katana because until now we had never come in contact with such tremendous mana as was in your blood. That brought us to our free states again and gave us these forms, which happens rarely with a dragon’s blood.” He looked like the most intelligent of them all because among the seven of them, only he looked a little less like a beast to me. “What is your name?” I asked. “Red,” he said. The three female fairies immediately snapped. “I am Red!” “No me!” “It’s me!” “Come on, you three. All of us are Red combined. She gave us one name

Hayden looked away for a moment and could only recall the time Lady Nixie, Queen Nivei's lady-in-waiting, approached him and asked if he could meet with Queen Nivei. He remembered Lady Nixie giving him a file with Leath Mayfair's information. It had everything from her birthday, favourite colour, her first day out of Silvenia, but it didn't say that Leath was not allowed to go back to Silvenia. Hayden thought that it was a simple task to make a rebelling kid go back but now is a different story.

“All of you, be quiet!” the murmuring of several fairies stopped at the commanding words of the fairy who was seated higher than all of them. The meeting room was as bright as the place Mane was stuck in, but it was filled with fairies. All the fairies floated above ground and faced twelves ‘thrones’. The thrones were suspended in the air and were occupied by twelve different fairies. Eleven of these thrones were at the same level, with one of the elevated higher than the rest. The fairy that occupied the highest throne was the one who commanded that the others be quiet.
