The Rejected Mate Slade Angel Novels & Stories

Slade says immediately and I nod beside him. “I need you to trust that I know what’s best for you. That I have picked out mates that not only understand what you have been through, but will comfort and cherish you through it. Mates that will be there to support you and love you no matter what happens.” She turns to Slade. “The fact that you are scared of turning out like you forebearers is enough to prove that you won’t. Your mate is a great warrior in her own right and a luna because she won it in a battle against the old alpha, who was also her mate. A corrupt and sick wolf who needed to die for the good of everyone and she took care of it. She will be an excellent mate, life partne

Mira thought to herself when she heard the broken yet neutral voice of a man in the darkness of her surrounding. ‘I, Roland Meyers the soon-to-be Alpha of the Night Howlers pack reject Angel Reeves, the omega of the same pack as my mate.’ “Can it be…can it be Angel’s painful past that kept haunting him?” confusion rings through Mira’s mind when she completely heard a rejection statement from a mate. ‘What?...did I do something wrong for you to reject me?’ ‘I’m sorry, Angel…just accept it…it will help us get through it…’

He hated me to the core, and I honestly detested him just as much. “Mate!” He repeated the word, and Lyra growled at it. Goosebumps shrouded my skin, and an enjoyable cold gripped me. I didn’t know how to react. What a twist! Of all the men who were in the pack hall tonight, how could it be Cassius Slade? Could the moon goddess be any crueler? First, I was given a difficult life, and now I would be a rejected mate, because there was no way on earth Cassius would acknowledge me as his mate and future Luna.

I slid my hands down to his shoulders and guided him back to the bed. “Why are you still sticking with me after learning the truth?” He lowered himself into the mattress and stared at his lap. “Because I’m not the snob at the top of an ivory tower, judging people for making mistakes. I also don’t care about your background.” “And because we’re mates?” he asked, sounding hopeful. “If it’s 2021, then we must already have children.” Someone behind us cleared their throat. I turned to find the Angel King standing at the foot of the bed with a silver-haired faerie I recognized from my trial.

she said, trying to reason with him. “You need to tell her, Matthew. She has a right to know,” Christine said. Lilly smiled at the other woman. Matthew let out an agitated sigh. “This is going to get me into fucking trouble.” He leaned forward. “Have you accepted the mating?” Lilly frowned. “I don’t know what you mean.” “Mating takes two people, Lilly. You either accept Scott as your mate, or you don’t.” “He’s convinced I’m his mate.” “But you can still reject him. It’s not unheard of. We’re mated together for a reason, but it can happen,” Christine said.

“You have always been such a sweet and loving girl, Alaia. Too bad my son is a complete idiot. I swear he gets that from his father. Anyway...I’m ready now. Bring her in, Alexi.” Alexi walked over to me and took my hand before bringing it up to his lips. Lauren looked at us like an exhibit at the zoo before it finally clicked for her. She gasped and dramatically slapped her hand over her mouth. “It’s, Alaia. Is she your mate? Please tell me you’re not playing with me right now. My heart couldn’t take it.” “My Angel agreed to give us, to give me, another chance. She is mine, and I am hers.”

His expression was hard, distant, final. Like a man who had already convinced himself he was doing the right thing. Fear curled inside me. “Kael…” My voice cracked slightly. “What’s going on?” He straightened his posture, every inch the Alpha. Then he spoke in the same cold, commanding tone he used during official pack meetings. “I, Kael Drayden, Alpha of the Ashveil Pack—” My breath caught. “No,” I whispered desperately. “Don’t say it.” “—reject you, Sera Voss, as my destined mate.”

“Let me do you the favor.” I took a deep breath, willing myself not to falter. “I, Elena Darkwood, reject you, Liam Hemsworth, as my mate and cut off any mating bond between us.” The crowd murmured in shock, but I didn’t care. Maria’s eyes gleamed with triumph. Liam smirked, his voice cold. “I, Liam Hemsworth, accept your rejection.” And just like that, the bond between us snapped, leaving nothing but emptiness in its wake.

Not like I wanted to take note but it was hard not to as he came so close and very quickly so I wouldn’t stalk backward again. I looked around, hearing all he just and refusing to let that bother me. I tried to force myself out of the close proximity, not minding that his parents, the twins, Kade and Molly were outside watching every single move we made and listening to us but dared not to interfere. “No.. no you can’t explain this one and i don’t want you. I LILY .. I LILY STONE reject Jaden Stone as my mate!” I screamed out loud at him and he surprised me by grabbing me by the arm, drawing me every bit closer to him as he looked hurt but no I wasn't going to pay attention to that.

I scowled at her. "No! You're disgusting!" I spat back angrily. I should reject her. I don't want her to be my mate. I'm going to marry Liza anyway, for the union of our packs. This is for the pack's future. I should think first about what is better for the pack than for myself. Dang, but why does it hurt to reject her? The looks she gave me were full of pain and hatred. But I have to do this. "I, Alpha Azrael Shepherd, reject you, Alexandria Gregory as my mate," I said coldly, then turned my back towards the packhouse. I have said it and it's already done. I stopped dead in my tracks when she yelled at my back.
