The Scorch Trials Novels & Stories

Soon, the first trial began—choosing a cave to inhabit. Safiya stepped forward to explain the situation: "The Alpha Council has recorded some information, and now we're willing to share it with everyone. There are over a hundred caves scattered throughout this rainforest, and each can only hold one trial candidate. The Blood Moon Trials are essentially a role-playing scenario. Each cave is home to... some 'entities.' They were once powerful werewolves, but now they're trapped souls—wolves abandoned by their packs. They'll pretend to be your family, living with you for seven days. Remember, they're lone wolves—mad and dangerous—but at the same time... they desperately crave genuine 'connectio

It was in an open circle in front of a huge tree trunk that was covered in vines shaped like hands reaching out hungrily toward them. Scar tried not to look around at the faces of the goblins gathered there, instead keeping her head high and staring straight ahead. She refused to give them the satisfaction of seeing her fear or her sadness. The gentle morning breeze carried the scent of flowers, and she breathed it in, trying to keep her heart from running out of her chest.

It was finally the day they had all been waiting for. This was no ordinary contest. The skies above the sacred grounds were gray, thick with hanging clouds that mirrored the storm inside every heart present. It was The Trial of Roars—a legendary test passed down through blood and myth. Strength alone would not win it. Cunning, balance, legacy, and the favor of the ancestral spirits all played their part. Torches lined the circular arena carved from ancient stone. Tribal drums pounded in a solemn rhythm as the surviving members of the pack gathered, watching in anxious silence.

“I’ll look into how to negotiate with the Elders. Those trials aren’t safe, they could put your life at risk.” “What exactly are these trials?” I asked, dreading the answer. Malcolm’s grip on my hand tightened. “The ancient Luna trials consist of three phases. First, the Trial of Wisdom … you’d have to solve complex pack disputes and ancient riddles that test your judgment. Second, the Trial of Strength physical challenges including combat against trained warriors and surviving alone in the wilderness for three days.” My stomach dropped. “And the third?” “The Trial of Sacrifice,” his voice was barely audible. “You’d have to prove your loyalty to the pack by… well, by putting the pack’s needs

My daughter, Amelia Rossum, comes home with her palm pierced all the way through by a pencil. I drop my mop in a panic, hastily change out of my loungewear, and rush her to the ER. At the hospital entrance, my husband, Benedict Rossum, jumps out of his car and immediately lashes out at me. "How could you let this happen to her?" Our neighbor, Lorelei Bates, trails behind him, holding her daughter's hand. She addresses him gently, "Benedict, don't be so hard on Clarissa. Everyone makes mistakes." He scoffs. "Other mothers can keep their kids safe perfectly fine. What's her excuse? I bet she did this on purpose to guilt me into coming home early!" Amelia recoils and hides behind me. Seei

“If they need to see what I stand for, then I’ll show them. I won’t have our bond questioned while I hide behind you.” The circle stirred again. Interest now, sharp and dangerous. Nyxara smiled, slow and calculating. “Very well. The old rites, then.” The terms were spoken aloud, each one settling like a stone. Three trials. The first, the Trial of Resolve. He would face the scent and presence of the packs without yielding, without submission, proving strength of will rather than claw. The second, the Trial of Blood. Not death, but endurance. Pain borne without surrender, watched by all.

Scorch howls in agony, then roars at the creature who just killed his mate. “Justice, I need to help him!” I struggle to keep my voice calm. “You can’t fight a werebear alone!” Scorch makes a strange squealing sound that turns into a man groaning. I have to help him. I can’t let him die. “I can’t sit here like a coward.” I stand up, but immediately double over again as the pain burns anew.

Asher called but I can't find it in me to look away from Logan's nipple. "You know I was joking right?" Logan said but I just can't look at anything else. "Excuse me." He said and left and even though he is no longer standing in front of me, I still can't look at anything else... I can vividly see the scar staring back at me. "Nicole, are you okay." Asher called and tapped me at the same time and that's when I finally snapped out of it, it was like the scar held me in a trance.

he said with a smirk. Miguel started the motorcycle. Annabelle instinctively clasped Miguel on the waist with the fear of what he just said. She tightly wrapped her arms around him and blushed as she felt his midriff. She fancied his flat and firm abs. She wondered what his body would feel like with his clothes off. She imagined his tone biceps embracing her while whispering luscious words to her ears. And even with the cold breeze touching her skin, she sensed the warmth on her core as she daydreamed of his touch.

Her brain can't understand what was happening, it was in absolute chaos. But she just knew one thing: she wants out. I want to live. I want to live. Let me out. Let me out! But before she knew it, [Bang!] She'll never see the sun rising up again. —
