This Time, I'm Winning the Lottery

This Time, I'm Winning the Lottery

Perfect Timingmarrying a secret zillionaire: happy ever after
I had been pursuing Seth for so long, yet he never remembered the fact that I was allergic to pollen. "By the way, lend me 150 dollars. I want to buy some books. Once my family mails me money, I'll pay you back." I had lost count of how many times Seth told me the same thing. The thing was, he never returned any cash to me. I just huffed coldly before walking home right away. Seth could be heard hollering my name angrily from behind. As soon as I walked through the front door, I saw Catherine toying with her new watch. I recognized it as an item only sold in a department store in the town.

Just as we got to the scene, a minor incident happened before we could even take the stage. The person chosen to draw the first prize was an old lady selected from the audience. She was escorted onto the stage to operate the lottery machine, and we were all waiting for the number to come out to award the prize to the winner. However, at that moment, a young man in black quietly approached our vicinity. Just as he was about to reach me and Atlas, he was quickly restrained by Cane, who had been guarding us.

It was a good book. A lot of the mixup/changes in names/locations was very annoying. Wish we would have gotten a little more out of the ending of one of the main villains. Chapters also needed to be longer; a lot of money spent on this book for 5-6 pages per chapter.

I loved this book. I liked all the characters and their interactions. Loved Atlas & Chloe together. Parts of the book are very suspenseful and made it hard to put down. Liked that she was a mom and a business owner. She was strong and intelligent. Hated that the book was over. Highly recommend.

Ethan had looked excited at first, but the moment he managed to read the banner, he froze in disbelief. "You won the lottery?" he questioned me, his eyes blazing with jealousy. Jocelyn looked stunned, too. Then, she turned to me, her face full of excitement. Sean still could not read, so he looked completely lost. He tilted his head up at Jocelyn as he asked, "Mom, what does winning the lottery mean?"

The Lot He Never Drew

The Lot He Never Drew

Mooreskipped at the altar, taken by his uncle
Dante's tone remained indifferent as he tried to suppress the inexplicable unease rising in his chest. "But the wedding gifts are worth a hundred billion dollars!" Livia gasped. "I wonder which lucky young lady it is..." Dante glanced dismissively at the news, unaware that the bride receiving the hundred-billion-dollar wedding gifts was me, the woman who had waited many years for him. He did not know that I would never wait for him again.

The Lottery of Fate

The Lottery of Fate

Sea Onefatethe lotterya fate rewritten
That day, I was walking along the beach as usual. The sky was heavy with storm clouds, the kind that collapsed without warning. I was about to turn back when something rustled in the jungle. Something moving low, fast, animal-like. I froze, not knowing whether to step forward or dodge. And then, Adrian burst out from the other side of the path. Everything slowed. I turned, confused, and saw it. The muzzle of a gun spitting fire. A bullet slicing through the air toward my back.

I had said that indeed, but there had always been a condition attached to it. I had been cautious because I didn't want Beatrice to notice anything unusual, but the circumstances had changed since she could barely keep herself afloat. "Because… I'm letting someone swing the axe instead." Besides, people lived on pride. It was now my turn to bite back. Beatrice would receive tenfold the pain for what she had done to me on my last wedding day. Just as I expected, Shirley, our resident tattler, managed to spread the news of my lottery win to everyone within ten minutes flat. She even told our middle-school math teacher.

She could not reveal the bitterness she felt inside, so she could only nod helplessly and say, “Ah, yes... that’s right.” The store manager nodded and quickly took out a lottery box from under his desk as he said to Elaine, “Madam, you’d better draw the lottery first!” Elaine sighed, rubbed her hands together, and said, “Come on, let’s try to win the grand prize and see what good thing can be worth 1.2 million dollars!” Having said that, Elaine stretched out her hand, selected a lottery ticket from inside the box, and took it out. The store manager hurriedly put the lottery box back and said to Elaine, “Madam, you can scratch it off and take a look!”

Without knowing what else to do, he just kept going around a couple of laps until night fell. When he arrived at his new home, he imagined how his wife received him, but now he was all alone in a new apartment. He flopped down on the couch, where he turned on the television, he then said in a huff, “Trash,” Taking his belongings out of his pockets, where he went back to find the lottery ticket that the older woman had given him, he looked at it carefully. “Sunflower,” he said in a low voice. He thought it was silly, but at this point, he got carried away. He looked for the channel where they broadcasted the lottery, channel 12. But his curiosity was not satisfied, the program had just ended

She was happy, but just because everyone was happy and it would be very funny. One by one names were drawn. It came to her turn. She took a well-folded paper and slowly unfolded it. She had no strong emotion while doing it. What were the chances anyway? To get that name in between the other 29 ones? " Oh, I got lucky this time" was the only thing she said before reality struck down. She got it. Her wildest dreams were fulfilled. The question was. Was she ready? - what the heck did I do to myself...

Sarah’s POV Have you ever felt victory? Perhaps you were a lottery lover and, all these years, you had always heard of other people winning the jackpot but never you. You read their stories, saw their pictures in the newspapers holding up that giant check, and you told yourself maybe someday. But suddenly, it was your lucky day. You know the excitement? The thrill? The happiness that courses through your veins like fire? This was exactly how I felt at this very moment. It was like I won a lottery. But was it truly not a lottery?
