The ‘I just moved here and I don’t know anyone’ look.” She leaned on the counter. “I had it too, two years ago. It fades.” I laughed. “How long did it take?” “About a week. Then I found the book club.” “Book club?” She grabbed a flyer from under the counter and handed it to me. “Tuesday nights. The Spined Fox bookstore. We read everything from literary fiction to trashy romance. No judgment.”

He simply gave a small, shy smile and took a slight, graceful bow. ​For the first time in his life, the silence wasn't a prison he was locked inside it was a choice he was making. It was a space he owned. And as the neighborhood erupted into applause, the sound washing over him like a warm tide, Tobi realized that while he might always be "The Quiet One," his heart would always be the loudest, most vibrant thing in the room.

A teenager, headphones around his neck, glanced nervously at the counter. “Uh, do you have any fantasy? Like with dragons?”

As soon as she entered, she clung to Andrew and said, "Didn't you say you would visit me at the hospital today, Andy?" Andrew didn't dare hold her or push her away with his parents around. Alice was the first to break the silence. "Don't you think you're being too intimate with someone who's supposed to be your brother when his wife is around?" Her expression darkened as she looked at Nina. Meanwhile, the latter turned to look at Robert and Alice, seemingly just noticing that they were there.
