We reached the edge of the training grounds, where a large, deep pit was dug. I heard the sound before I saw it. A soft, horrible hissing. The guards hauled me to the edge. I looked down. The pit was filled with snakes. Dozens of them. Long, thick, venomous vipers, their scales glinting in the sun. They coiled over each other, tongues flicking, eyes like black beads. My whole body locked with a fear so deep I couldn't even scream. My breath froze in my lungs. Eric and Lupiter came to stand behind me. He put his hands on my shoulders. His voice was a gentle whisper in my ear.

I hated how weak they sounded. Ignoring her pleas, I stepped away and approached the Snake Pit. I opened the glass enclosure, revealing a vibrant, colorful snake coiled within. Its scales shimmered under the dim light, a beautiful creature with a deadly secret. I grabbed its neck firmly, watching as it hissed angrily, venom dripping from its fangs, trying to bite me. “Look at this beauty, Little Mouse,” I said, my voice smooth and taunting. “So pretty, yet so deadly.” I could hear her struggling in the water, her panic palpable. The sight of her fear filled me with joy.

While following that strange sensation, Felix made his way to the heart of Snake Island. He'd already been to that spot several times, and the only thing remotely unusual was a bottomless pit shrouded in darkness. He couldn't see anything inside, so he had know idea what was down there. This time, to his surprise, soul energy was actually emanating from the pit. The closer he got, the stronger the energy became. "This must be the place where that guy got infected," Felix muttered.

Her heart skipped as she hastily glanced down to see a snake which had a beautiful and brilliantly snow-white body, with recognised eyes. Despite being skeptical of its mutation, she soon recognizes it as an albino snake. Even while this one was still small, she is aware of how large they could eventually get.
