I can barely bend properly, but I don’t care. The cold bites instantly, but laughter follows just as fast. We build a snowman, arguing the entire time. “It needs arms,” I insist. “It does not.” “How is it meant to wave?” “It’s a snowman, not a politician.” I snort, packing snow harder than necessary. When I step back, hands on hips, I nod. “He looks grumpy. This is the ugliest snowman I’ve ever seen,” I say, stepping back. “It has character,” Damien replies defensively. “He looks powerful.”

Sia's cheeks were rosy from the cold and her eyes sparkled with the joy of seeing the first ever snowman that she made with him. “I never made a snowman before, but this turned out perfect,” she said. After taking pictures, Sean and Charlotte decided to build a snowman in the courtyard. Charlotte carefully shaped a cute, chubby snowman that stood about half her height. She added a red scarf and a little red hat, then used a soft peach-toned lipstick to dab rosy blush on the snowman’s cheeks. Miranda pushed open her window and saw that the whole world had been covered in a fresh, white blanket. It was just after 8:00 am, and the neighborhood kids were already out in groups, building snowmen on the street below. Their laughter blended with the calls of street vendors, creating a lively, down-to-earth atmosphere. When Miranda went downstairs to grab some groceries, she noticed a row of snowmen of all shapes and sizes neatly lined up. The largest one caught her eye with its seed eyes and a pink plastic pinwheel on its head, making it look strikingly like a cartoon character.
