my inner mind chimed in. I lifted my shoulder in a half shrug, getting the thought out of my mind. I continued staring at Mr. Banks as he went on talking, without picking out anything from what he was babbling. A girl sneezed, causing the whole class to look in her direction. I quickly whipped my head around to confirm my theory. When I finally saw those eyes that were piercing through my back, I wasn't surprised who they belonged to. Romeo Sparks. His bright emerald eyes pierced into mine as if he could see through me. His gaze held a mixture of frustration, confusion, and anger. I couldn't decipher what it really was.

I could look at him for hours as he stands there, his eyes locking with mine. There was no more thick black glasses hiding the fleck of gold that beamed like sunshine when they connected to mine. It didn't matter that I couldn't see them, to really see them, because those amber pools have allowed me to see the actual sun as they pulled me into their orbit time and time again.

The craving burned deep, raw and unfiltered, and I fought to keep my desire in check, knowing I was on the edge of losing control. She looked up and her eyes met mine. The room seemed to fall silent. Her gaze was cautious, wary, but in that instant, there was an undeniable spark—something electric, like a wild flame flickering to life inside her. I felt my breath catch, my heart pounding harder. The world around us faded, and all I could see was her—her face, her scent, the subtle tremor in her stare. In that moment, both of us whispered the same word—mate.

Mary reaches out and grabs my hand “Did you do it?” “It sparked” I pull away and try to think about what I’ve done and again another spark. I’m excited, I made a spark. He grabbed all the diaries and threw them at my feet. Suddenly, all the diaries started flying around me. They were circling around me. My eyes went wide as the diaries started burning. In no time, all the diaries were turned into ashes. There was a spark of blue light literally standing in front of me. I gasped loudly as that spark threw itself on me. I was expecting unbearable pain. But inside, my body absorbed that spark.

"Even if we don't feel the spark anymore?" He nodded again, as if he was so certain. "Even when the spark is gone." I smiled to myself. I just couldn't put my emotions into words. All I knew was this thing was real. This was something I could hold on. And deep inside I was hoping this thing would last. I just learned how to love faithfully again. That kind of love that was certain and secured. That kind of love that was real. "Shall we go home now?" He asked.

It was like his eyes were just a whole mix blues that were different shades, and those silver sparks swirling within those shades, making it a more magnificent sight to gaze upon. Before I even got to admire those sapphire burning eyes his gaze broke and he away, further and further from me. He just left me there, clueless. As the time sped away I found myself comparing the azure eyes of Zayden and the deep royal midnight blues of the wolf- name also Zayden. I had to be seeing things. it was merely impossible. Yet, they both held those mysterious silver sparkles that swirled deeply. It looked too real to even be considered as the plain imagination or the trick of the minds.

I gently touch the outer walls and I feel a burst of power run through me. I am suddenly back in my body, and back in my room. I can feel sparks on my arm, and I breathe a sigh of relief. Adam is still with me. The sparks signify our love and connection. I open my eyes slowly and see Adam’s head resting on my arm. He is not looking at me. I reach my other hand across my body putting my hand on his head.

I gasped when I felt the sparks after our hands brushed against one another as we stared into each other’s eyes intently. To be continued…
