In response to Arthur's previous question, I decided to prepare an answer for him. I took a deep breath and summoned the courage to speak up while staring at Arthur. "Mister handsome... I believe the stars are similar to humans. When you're famous (a star) and no one knows who you are... you get sad, you feel like you're not doing a good job, and this also applies to those who aren't famous."

Joseph felt the wind knocked out of him as he heard the whistle followed by the loudest sound he's ever heard in all his 16 years under the Tau Ceti sun. A whiz and BOOM. Whiz and BOOM. Explosion after explosion came pummeling down onto them. An unending barrage of terrifying heat and sound and fireball crashed all around them. Joseph covered his face as clods of disturbed earth pelted and rained down on him. His screams were drowned out by the loud thunders. It went on forever. Until it didn't. Then it stopped. He heard nothing afterwards except the constant ringing in his ear.

“The starry sky was as beautiful as it was on that day six years ago.” “That day? You mean your birthday?” “Yes,” Estelle nodded. “I used to envy the sun. It’s so bright and can make people feel warm. On the other hand, the stars can’t do that. They’re scattered in the sky, giving out only faint lights. They appear small and insignificant, unnoticed by most except during the night. Few people seem to like or care about them.” Mr. Mysterious’ heart jolted when he heard this. He knew what Estelle meant.

Mama nodded and smiled softly. “In ancient times, when the world was new. There was only one big planet among the planets in the universe; it was very beautiful but at the same time too hot. And it shone towards the Earth every day. The planet was called the ‘Sun’. It gave light for people to see, for plants to grow, and for heat to balance the cold temperature. But even though it’s so beautiful, the Sun is sad and lonely all the time. At night, it disappears and is replaced by the light of the stars.”

How have I merited such a horrendous destruction of my possibilities in a typical life? I gaze through the window, watching the orange and blinding yellow wave across the sky as the glorious brilliant globe rises, pondering exactly where the stars go when confronted with such wonderful light. They simply appear to blur out of the spotlight as the principal fascination arises, as though they don't make any difference. As though the sun is a higher priority than the glimmering gems in the distance. There is a stir next to me on the hard bed, cautioning my faculties. I turn, my psyche still hazy with dismay...

"The moon is the symbol of pack power. By making the stars brighter, aren't you suggesting a shift in the hierarchy?" "I’m suggesting that even on a moonless night, the stars can still burn your eyes out," I replied, a smirk playing on my lips. "The stars are selfless. They provide the light without demanding the throne. But they are numerous. And together, they are a Galaxy." I rotated the hologram. The stars shifted, realigning into a sharp, geometric pattern. "Is that... a letter?" someone whispered.

Over the next couple of days, my ritual included spending the whole of the afternoon with Delight in the gardens learning about anything she was willing to talk about for the whole day. I didn’t mind sitting down and listening to her talk, she could do it for hours and she always had something to say. Stars are hugely celestial bodies made mostly of hydrogen and helium that produce light and heat from the churning nuclear forges inside their cores. They are the building block of the galaxies of which there are billions of them in the universe.

Claire asked. "We use the sun and the sky." Jason answered her. "But at night there's no sun." She said innocently "At night we use the stars." He smiled pointing up to the sky. Claire's eyes shifted upwards. Morgan watched a big smile come over her face. She could see her wheels turning as she studied the dark sky. "But they all look the same, " She stated, still looking upwards. Morgan was looking up at the sky as well smiling to herself. It warmed her heart that Jason didn't mind the endless chatter. She had been watching him off and on through the conversation and he had never been annoyed.

"That doesn't make any sense to me. No one lives up there just heavenly bodies like the sun, moon and the stars." "Stars!" The word resounded in Ibekwe's ears as he tried to remember where he had heard it from. "Some stars are large while others are small. No life lives up there just heavenly bodies," Ifeme affirmed. Fascinating, Ibekwe mused. Who told this boy that no one lived up there......... different culture perhaps. "Why do you have those marks on your body?" Ifeme asked. Ibekwe stopped the food he was eating. He reasoned for a while.
